#books #libro #livre #letra #word #world #writersofinstagram #writer #art #bookstagram #bookstore #booklove #bookaddict #story #booknerd #booksofinstagram #bookcommunity #julen #summer #lectura #leer #read #bookstagrammer.

WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR WRITING ROUTINE SPECIAL
.
Writing is your passion, right? It’s not another to-do on your list, so don’t treat it that way.
.
You don’t need a super elaborate writing routine. But I do think it helps to have one that’s special to YOU.
.
For me, I like to make whatever I’m drinking during my writing session something special. Like if I’m writing in the morning, I like to enjoy my first cup of coffee while I write. If I’m writing during the afternoon, I’ll make myself an iced coffee. If I’m out writing at a coffee shop, I’ll indulge myself in a dirty chai or one of those super sugary coffee drinks I say I don’t like … (but I really do shhh don’t tell anyone)
.
Basically, coffee is the secret to making all my writing sessions awesome. Find your coffee. It’s all about adding happiness to your writing life.
.
If you want two more ways you can add some happiness to your writing life besides making a special writing routine, check out my newest blog post. Link in the bio! 💛

QOTD: Do you have a writing routine? What does it look like?

we meet about a thousand people in our lifetime. and each passes by like that newspaper boy, throwing newspapers at doorsteps while paddling away on a Sunday morning. Always leaving something to know about. Like that, we meet people in our lives that teach us something. A lesson. Always a lesson. I've understood this, some teach you a lesson by being a blessing, a fragrance and for a short while, they stay. While others leave your life like a car dent. Let's be real, as one passes the other, the previous dent is healed or some way, covered. But either way, life is a lesson. a chapter of lessons, one after the other. And if you're not learning from these lessons, being attentive, not hurting yourself again and again, then do you really think you've conquered yourself? or even your life?

They Stare in Disgust at My Self Expression

They Wonder At My Coldness often

Hi foodies! 👋 I'm still smiling from our visit to @drumplings. From meeting Ali to kicking back and taking in the surroundings. Oh yes....and the main reason we were there, the #bottomlessbrunch. I took all that feeling of Good and wrote about it. 😁😁 #OIIGAPPROVED .

What’s your best advice for getting out of a reading slump? My go to solutions are to either read an old favourite or reach for a novella— there’s something very satisfying about breezing through a short(ish) story, especially if I can do it in one sitting. Some novellas I’d recommend are:
↠ I Am Legend, by Richard Matheson (one of my favourite books of all time)
↠ The Yellow Wallpaper, by Charlottle Perkins Gilman
↠ Carmilla, by Sheridan Le Fanu
↠ The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, by Robert Louis Stevenson
↠ Gigi, by Colette
I’d love to hear what some of your favourite novellas are. 🖤
