The Earth is one thing that we all have in common. Pictures don’t really do justice to the size and majesty of these things. #earthday #windfarm #salina #windpower

💨Earth day & Ireland’s biggest WIND FARM, only 1/2 built, scars spectacular parts of Connemara.
-
💨I’m aware of the arguments proponents make for renewable energy, however it’s very disturbing to see the scarred, industrialized wilderness close up, in strikingly beautiful areas like this.
-
💨Walking out in nature, it feels as if the land is weaponized.
-
💨 Have a listen, (SOUND ON), to the screeching sound heard when standing nearby and read for yourself what some highly regarded environmentalists have to say, (SWIPE LEFT ABOVE).
-
💨It’s obvious when walking near wind farms, how living close-by can negatively affect people’s nervous system and wellbeing.
-
💨Animals and insects have a nervous system too.
-
💨it’s posited that the flicker light, screech noise and disturbed air flow disrupts their health, with serious knock on effects into the entire eco system.
-
💨Wind Farms really don’t seem to be be the un-problematic Eirgrid ad planet-savers they appear to be at 1st glance.
-
💨Instead they actually compromise the wellbeing of all earths inhabitants, are seriously questioned with regards even being effective and can’t ever be dismantled.
-
💨 I hope policy change occurs before the rapid and relentless selling off of our stunning countryside, to the monstrous and failing, metal contagion. 🌍❣️

Our home is full of mountains, oceans, forests, and so many other wonders. Mother nature has done so much for us, the least we could do is protect it for future generations to come. Picking up a piece of trash, conserving a little water, not using plastic, reducing your waste, planting trees, riding your bike or walking, or anything to help our planet be as beautiful as she can is so important, not just today, but everyday. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Sometimes, renewable energy is being used right under our noses. Did you see the wind farm in the foreground in the second picture? Using clean energy isn’t impossible nor is it ugly or dangerous. I think it’s time we use the renewable energy that Mother nature gave us. ⁣
