Soon to be Mama of 2 beautiful starseeds 💫

I breastfed our first born until she was 22 months, after finding out we were pregnant again. I planned to go as long as she would like, but soon I realized that she didn’t really need mamas milk as she was eating fruits & quinoa in my absence with Aba. So here I am again feeling beautiful and vibrant with life inside. I am very excited along this journey as we have not had any medical attention and don’t plan to. We’ve decided once again to free birth our seed in the comfort of our home. So we don’t know the gender, which is even more exciting for me. -
Beautiful are all, who carry life. 
Sharing my light, to those who love.

    PATIENCE.

You might eat a double cheeseburger and fries two weeks into your journey and feel like a failure. You AREN’T a failure - you’re human. One bad meal here and there won’t make or break your progress. For your next meal, eat something healthy.

You might have a bad day at work and decide to come home, take a bath and relax instead of going to the gym and sweating it out. And, hey! That’s OK! Go the next day.

The DAY after I started my weightloss journey, I gave into my cravings and bought a personal deep dish pizza and breadsticks...yup, the day after! I could have fallen off the wagon and continued my terribly unhealthy habits, but I was patient with myself and continued moving forward.

A few weeks after I started my weightloss journey, I started going to the gym. I couldn’t walk on the treadmill for more than 2 minutes without huffing and puffing. Now I can do the Jacobs Ladder for 5 minutes..try it, I dare you, and hike up a mountain no problem. I was patient with myself.

I think you get the gist with the theme of this post - We owe it to ourselves to not give up on our dreams and goals and stay patient. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You may not see the progress right away, but trust me, you mind and body are transforming.

    I mentioned yesterday that I was one example, from many millions from around the world, of someone who’s  been able to mend my body from within.
.
From the age of 18 I’ve had sleeping issues. Sleeping only 3-4 hours only, and wake up around 10 times EVERY night.
.
Feeling exhausted, run down, emotional and with sore and scratchy eyes every day... my body was running on survival mode constantly.
.
I tried doctors advice, naturopaths, therapists, meditating, and exhausting my body with exercise...
.
But what kept coming up was doctors trying to give me sleeping tablets to take on a daily basis - a band-aid to cover the problem rather than a solution to fix the cause.
.
Refusing this as my final outcome... yet feeling that I had exhausted every other avenue, I decided this was just “me” and gave up looking.
.
Luckily, 3.5 years ago (15 years after my sleeping issues started!!!) a friend of mine who could see that I still wasn’t sleeping, suggested that there was another way.
.
Sceptical at his idea, but willing to see what he’s talking about (and prove him wrong), I opened up my mind to a holistic nutritional cleansing system, that’s created from all natural, high grade, whole foods... and have never looked back!
.
It took only 5 days for an increase of energy, about 25 days for my body to shed excess water weight, and approx 90 days for my sleep to change to 7 hours straight.
.
Game changer!
.
Now here I am, 3.5 years on, with a body that responds to exercise like it never has before, that sleeps like I use to as a kid... but more importantly it feels amazing, energised and happy.
.
And all from what I’ve been fuelling it with.
.
If you could take a chance, make a small change, be open to a new way... to achieve some really awesome health and body changes that you’ve not been able to achieve any other way... would you be open to it?

    Here are some great ab exercises⁣
⁣
Perform each 3-4 times ⁣

1. First one is an up down plank sand bag drag 10each⁣ (burns so good) 🔥
2. Stability ball extension- fight for 30 sec⁣onds
3. Chaos Copenhagen plank (goal is to use one band- if more assistance is needed use more bands) 30 sec each side ⁣
4. Jump through to L-Sit x 45 sec⁣

Using a stability ball creates an unstable environment which causes the body to use the core and work harder to maintain dynamic and static positions. You can modify by putting your feet on the ground 👍🏽⁣

The Copenhagen side plank is pretty difficult to hold for an extended time as the band will drop/ wobble the goal is to keep your hips and core tall and high while remaining stable 💪🏽⁣

Jump through to L-sit is one of my favorites. It’s a great way to build stability/ core/ & hip flexor strength. This is a great movement for improving your overall pulling/ pushing strength 🔥

    @smoulton9 Hi my name is Sara Moulton, I'm 24 and I'm a Professional Softball Player. I've always been active and athletic, however in college I put on over 50 pounds because I got too comfortable in the relationship I was in. When we broke up after I graduated, I looked in the mirror one day and realized all of the damage I had done to myself. I started my journey on July 1, 2014 and lost 54 pounds by January 1, 2015 (6 months later) . I was motivated by the thought that no man could possibly love me if I didn't love or take care of myself. I have managed to keep 55 pounds off for an entire year now. I've gone down 8 Jean sizes and 6 dress sizes since I started my journey. This journey hasn't been an easy one. I tell people all the time that it's been harder to keep the weight off for a year than it was to lose it to begin with. I want to help as many people as I can so I will continue posting about my journey through my Instagram page as well as stay up to date on my blog. The current link can be found in my bio.

    Be grateful you can move your body to workout and you have access to healthy food & clean water instead of looking at it as such a pain. 🙂

I have been every size from thiicccck to lean bean and I’m proud of myself at every single stage.

Yes, it’s very hard going from stage lean to fluffy and I’ll admit I got caught in that trap, but I made up my mind this year that I won’t punish myself any more! The only thing that’s going to do is lead down a rabbit hole full of binge eating and depression! This girl ain’t got time for that!!! 🙅🏼‍♀️

Like many people I used to think that protein alone was all that was needed after training. That was until I stumbled upon this stack about twoish years ago! I will explain why that is false....

So what happens when we train, workout, lift... (whatever you call it)? We are tearing (breaking down) muscle fibers. In addition to that we are depleting our muscles glycogen (energy) stores. Most of us know that consuming protein (Phormula-1) after training helps rebuild muscle. Like myself in the past what most don't know is that you also need to refill those depleted glycogen stores.

This is what ignition (carbs/glycogen) is for, it refills the glycogen and spikes insulin. Which helps Phormula-1 (protein) enter the muscles immediately to repair the damaged muscle fibers for better, faster results! This is the only time a protein shake is absolutely better than a whole food meal!

    This is the quote I live by. The quote that inspired Motherkind. And I quote I post on here every couple of months (I’d put it up every day if I could...). Last week I got to meet and record an episode with one of my heroes - Dr Gabor Mate @gabormatemd (you might have heard him on podcasts with @timferriss @richroll @drchatterjee). I can’t tell you how much I admire his work and how much it’s changed me personally and professionally. 
At a talk he gave earlier that day, a mum put her hand up at the end. 
She said “you’re one of the world’s leading experts on child development, what is one thing I can do for my 2 year old that will help him to grow up happy and healthy?” All 600 of us in the audience waited for his answer with baited breath.
