I have some time to work on my own gear and projects, so I thought I'd share my view of products I'm testing. First off is The String Butler. This device routes the strings of a guitar with 3 per side tuners with a straighter path through the nut than going off in an angle to the tuner. The idea is to stop the strings from binding and causing all kinds of tuning problems. Not to mention strings going out of tune just by bending a note. Yes I used my Gibson Les Paul that I've had a love hate relationship with. No drilling or screws needed to mount it. It uses the nuts of the two E string tuners to mount. Plastic washers under the plate prevent scratching the headstock. If your tuners have push in bushings you will have to screw the plate to the headstock. The String Butler is nothing short of amazing. I was skeptical at first, but my guitar stays in tune better than ever. Bending strings, changing to a drop D tuning and back again with no problems. I wish I had this years ago. I probably would still have many more of my old Gibson guitars. #thestringbutler #tuningproblems #rockandroll #modgarage

Well friends, after a few weeks of having The String Butler attached to my SG, I can say with confidence - it actually works! My SG stays in tune great now. Obviously having a good setup and a good nut are super important, but this clever device goes a long way towards reducing snags and tuning issues. #thestringbutler #stringbutler #guitaraccessories
