The reason my clients enjoy there training is because I make it fun, effective and also challenging. Nothing good comes from comfort zones. You may be doing the same move but try different variations, going higher in weight or reps, pyramids or amraps.

So much people associate “eating clean” with restrictive diet and working out 3h a day ... but in same time people doing that wondering why they aren’t seeing progress ... ? 🤔 They need to train even harder, eat less to lose extra weight (not fat) till a point of exhaustion & giving up.

Over cardio & food restriction ? Do the opposite, you'd see the progress you want! .

    I didn’t want to show up today, but got it in anyways. Got my butt kicked in gear and actually pushed harder than I have in a while and feel really great. .
My ankle seems to be healing really well finally, so I am going to keep following doctors orders and limit exercise to cycling until I am cleared for anything else. .
Is this what being an adult is?? I don’t like it.

    I was the lightest , I was also the unhappiest I've ever been, anxious and not able to eat well. But now, I am the happiest, strongest and most stable I've ever been. Despite the media drilling in the norm that being " thinner " or " lighter " is the way forward, this was my reminder that " light " does not mean being happy. Strong is happiness. Balancing your life is happiness. Eating chocolate when the soul needs it is most definitely happiness. Stay strong not skinny 🥰💪 #strongnotskinny .

    Topic - Intra-workout supplements 
Hello to all my fellow Laymen,

Today I want to discuss about intra-workout supplements/drinks which means what is best for consumption when your body is under a state of high wear and tear/muscle breakdown.

When it comes to intra-workout drinks, I can see the following reasons for consumption. 
1. Increase in MPS (muscle protein synthesis) - This term simply means the rate at which your body builds new muscle fibers
2. Hydration & Recovery - This means the drink helps in keeping your hydration levels in check since it is consumed with water and recovery because it also contains a healthy dose of sodium and potassium which are body salts necessary for normal functions in the body. We also sweat a lot during the workout and lose a ton of sodium (just try to remember the white sweat stains when you wore your favourite black tee to the gym)

So my suggestion to you is, if you want to get better at maximising the above 2 reason, then BCAA’s which are the most easily available in the market (branched chain amino acids) should be your last preference. 
1. Casein Hydroslates - This is the fastest and most effective  intra-workout drink till date, plus it is rich in all the 21 amino acids which consists of essential amino acids (body cannot make) and non-essential amino acids (body can make) in the right quantities, required for muscle building and recovery. 
Pros - Fastest Absorption and increase in MPS 
Cons - Bitter taste and High Costs
2. EAA’s (Essential amino acids) - This should be the second best intra-workout drink of choice, it consists of all 9 essential amino acids (body cannot make) thereby helping you with better MPS and Recovery
Pros - Faster absorption and increase in MPS compared to BCAA’s 
Cons - Availability and lack of choices in brands/flavours 
3. BCAA’s (branched chain amino acids) - This is what 80% of the gym goers use but it should actually be your last go-to, when it comes to boosting MPS and recovery during the training hour.
Pros - Easy availability, Tastes good and does a decent job
Cons - Slowest of the order in terms of benefits

    Exciting news!🙌🏽 Since my accident, my case has been open due to the fact that I am still seeing different doctors for different things but it looks like my case will be closing soon! (I hope I didn't just jinx it) It's been 3 long years of having to go through every kind of Dr you can think of. From Psych appointments, to surgeons, neurologists, OB/Gyn, dentists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc., I am SO happy that this is coming to an end. Even though I have permanent issues that I have to deal with, I'm happy that I won't be having to deal with this workers comp case. It's been stressful, disappointing, and irritating throughout my whole experience. A lot of waiting for approval for medications and getting denied certain treatments....I've literally had doctors laugh in my face because I asked for treatment that I thought would work. Workers comp is NOT something you want to deal with.... *sigh* I knew that my case would take long because of how bad the accident was but I didn't realize it would take this long. Either way I am SO happy because today I had my last evaluation before going forward with closing my case so fingers crossed it will be soon! I'm not sure what kind of payout will come from this or if I'll end up owing thousands of dollars so that part makes me a little anxious but it's been so stressful that I literally just want all of this to be over tbh 😩 Prayers are appreciated 💕 #roadtorecovery #recovery #caraccident #health #healthy #womenempowerment #confidence #girl #selflove #strongnotskinny #strong #fit #fitness #gym #motivation #lifestyle #fitnessjourney

    SWIPE LEFT - I swear, the hardest part about fitness is the “diet” part! Lol. Working out is the easy part, eating the “right” things or eating enough protein, carbs, calories, blah blah, you get me, is the hardest part! 🍭 Back squats 4 x 12-15 (Currently squatting 115 lbs but my goal is to keep increasing the weight slowly so I don’t end up injuring myself by over exerting my body.)
🍭 Split squats 4 x 12-15 (I was definitely shaking during this workout bc I kept the 115 lbs on. I should have lowered the weight but I wanted a challenge. 😅)
🍭 Resistance band front squat with 35 lb weight 4 x 12-15
🍭 Resistance band front squat to stiff leg with 35 lb weight 4 x 15
🍭 Resistance band goblet squat with 35 lb weight 4 x 12-15

Always remember, mind to muscle connection is 🔑! I always hear from people that I’ve worked out with before that they feel certain muscles being used when that was not the intended muscles that were being targeted.

    #transformationtuesday 🖤 In order for me to know where I’m going..it’s important to reflect on where I’ve been. Throughout my younger years, I was always on the small side but in my late 20s my weight started to yoyo up and down. The ups were mainly a result of times when I was livin’ my ‘best life’ over-indulging in food, occasional weekends of partying and the long hours at work also didn’t help because it meant eating on the go. But it wasn’t until I had my babies that things went from 0-100 real quick 😂 Unfortunately, I’m not one of those women that’s just pregnancy bump when I get pregnant🤰🏽For me, I gained 30kgs with Onyx, lost 28kgs of that pregnancy weight then fell pregnant with Maddox the year after - again gaining 20kgs by the end of my 2nd pregnancy 🤔 And NO.. Breastfeeding didn’t do me any favours in tryna lose my baby weight either. As a matter fact, breastfeeding just made me more hungry and I was heavier after having the baby than when I was pregnant 😳 As much as I don’t like seeing the state I was in on the left, I’m grateful for what my body went through. It nourished, carried and kept both my babies safe throughout each pregnancy. But just because I was grateful for the job my body did..it didn’t mean that I had to be content with the state it was in. So, at the beginning of the year, I decided to make a change, to love and take care of the body that I have..stretch marks, mum tum and all. I didn’t just bounce back after having the baby. I had to work hard to get to where I am now and I look forward to what I can achieve by the end of my current 12 weeks challenge. The best is yet to come. This post is not to brag but I hope it helps someone out there to feel motivated to make a change. Thanks @fitmumz.co.nz for being the best gym that I love going to every session. All the coaches there have been a huge part of my fitness journey especially @brooke_amy_thomsen @fitcomm_ltd and @ashelli0tt 🙏🏽.     I haven’t been 100% honest lately.

I have been struggling a lot. My mental health has been poor. Almost daily, I find myself stuck in negative thought patterns, picking my body apart in the mirror and being downright mean to myself. My body feels different to me than it ever has before. I am strong, but I am less lean than I have been in the past and as someone in the fitness space, I believe it is all but impossible to not feel a sense of pressure to look “shredded” and “fit” all the time. You are in some ways selling yourself through your physique in posts. When I was first getting started on here, I didn’t realize this. I was just having fun posting what I wanted but as it grows, so does the pressure I put on myself to look “good”, whatever that means

As someone who has a disordered background, I have to tread carefully in this and not give in to the pressures I feel. I catch myself having disordered thoughts and have to sometimes fight the urge to do extra cardio or to eat less and I’m scared. It’s scary when you go from feeling far removed from something to hearing it knocking on your front door again. I am giving myself as much grace as I can and being so kind to myself in all that I do, but when the monster is in your own head, trying to fight it off can feel like an insurmountable task.

I’m not 100% sure what my point is here. I guess I just want to share that it’s not all sunshine over here. Instagram is a highlight reel, it always will be, and that’s okay. There is nothing wrong with sharing the positive, but this post is to show the not so positive. Social media has bettered my life in so many ways, but this is tough.

All of you have always been nothing but supportive and encouraging of my journey and for that I am eternally grateful. I guess now I am just asking for extra grace and love as I work through my own demons and continue to work on finding unconditional self-love. Filming myself in the gym can be one of the hardest parts as it’s easy to pick myself apart in videos, but I’m working on it as I love sharing my lifts. Thank you for supporting me and letting me be me, even on bad days. It truly means more than words can describe 💛

a pancake stack on the weekend  doesn’t have to be a ‘because I’ve worked hard this week’ 
a dessert pudding after dinner doesn’t have to a ‘oh just a one of treat go on then’

    Morgen kommen die Haare ab 💇🏼‍♀️?! Nach über 3 Jahren #Extensions, lasse ich morgen erstmals alle entfernen und wahrscheinlich einen #Bob schneiden 💁🏼‍♀️. Je nachdem wieviel Eigenhaar ich noch habe, werde ich es entweder dabei belassen oder nach ein paar Tagen eine Tresse zum Verdichten dazu nehmen, jedenfalls keine Bondings mehr und es wird sehr viel kürzer 😭 ich liebe langes Haar, aber die strohigen Extensions sind einfach keine Dauerlösung. An Farbe bin ich noch am Überlegen zwischen nur blonden Strähnchen oder gemischt mit ein paar dunkleren Akzenten... was meint ihr??? Bob, #Longbob, blond, gesträhnt... ich bin schon die ganze Zeit am Bilder durchforsten, aber kann mich einfach nicht entscheiden 🤯
