    Summer cut update!

As many of you know, I’m a strong advocate for mini cuts and lean bulks (I hate the term “bulk” 😤)
-
Smaller cycles of gaining mass and losing fat allows you to stay lean all year round and use your body’s adaptability to most efficiently pack on muscle.
-
This methodology also eliminates the need for long grueling cuts!
-
This is me 2 weeks in to my current cut after being in a gaining phase for 2 months (+~0.5 lbs per week).

When I do cut, I like to do it aggressively!
-
Since it’s going to be unpleasant anyways and I won’t be building muscle, I like to get in and get out as quickly as possible (without losing too much hard-earned muscle).

I slash my calories and try to maintain a deficit of ~800 calories per day. This equates to a little over a lb of fat per week.

Your metabolism doesn’t begin to adapt or slow down until you reach the ~2 week mark, so you’ve got some room too work with.

I follow many of the principles in the article on my blog “Calories In vs. Calories Out” to reduce my energy intake and make sure my energy expenditure stays high.

    My coach is like that most of the time I don’t like what he tells me but I’m learning to trust him and most of the time he is right 🙄so yesterday I knew something was up cuz I’m learning to read his mood  his attitude just looking at him 🤨and I was right 🤦🏻‍♀️you see he is a friendly guy always with this big smile on his face  but when I see him wearing his 🧢 and glasses I know 💩is going to get real 🙈I enter the studio and he’s not even looking at me that’s another sign the something is up I act normal but I’m just waiting to see what he’s mind is brewing  and I didn’t wait long 😣  all the training with him is hard that’s why I like it but When he combined training with something else the I fear to do that’s 😓 when shit gets real.... so he shows me what I’m supposed to do I said I’m not going to do it 😤but  the look on his face tells me you better move your butt and do what he said 😟and the first round I was a maniac I don’t mind the exercise I reasoning in my head is the other issues the fear I feel takes over I feel like I can’t move but I don’t want to be a weak girl so I deal with it and all the time I’m fucking hating him for making me do it  cuz there’s no way in hell I will put myself through this hell on my own 👎  after first round I’m shaking all over I’m mad as hell 😡he just turned around and said we can do this other version of the exercise the “easy  version “ Now he tells me after all I went through 🤦🏻‍♀️but I’m very competitive  if I start something I need to finish because if I don’t is going to be stuck in my head all day but that’s another story  anyway the point is I freaking did it I finished and after that I’m not mad at him  anymore I’m actually thankful because he is helping me take away my fears  he is making me emotionally and mentally stronger Is not just the physical aspect but a combination of everything and that’s  what makes him a Great Coach #fitnesscoach #thankful #legday #legsworkouts #trainer #strength #strengthtraining #bodybuilding #weightloss #weighlossjourney #fitmom #fit #fitgirl #fitnessjourney #healthylifestyle #healthyfood #liftheavyshit #youareworth

    I had an ah-ha moment just now. Yesterday at an appointment, I was told “Your muscles are STRONG, but the wrong ones were misfiring at the wrong times and began to maladapt.” This was really encouraging to me, to hear that just because I’m struggling, it doesn’t mean I’ve lost any of the strength I’ve worked so hard for. 
Then today. It’s been a hard morning for my anxiety. I’ve been struggling to focus and to control the anxiety that’s sourcing from the outside. I decided to do some of my sitting exercises to help with my grounding, and I remembered those words, and it struck me that the same goes for my mental health.

Things are misfiring right now, but it doesn’t mean I’ve lost my strength. My brain is trying to rewire things that are beyond my control to make them feel more controllable, but that’s not healthy. So I have to WORK to realign. It’s literally the same concept!

I’m still riding the wave right now, but I’m feeling so much better about it. I feel equipped to weather this one. It’s amazing the way different parts of your life can come together to really pull you through.

The elevation will allow for a much deeper and full range of motion. Aim for ten reps on each leg and see if you don’t get a solid #glute pump.     This morning, I propped my camera next to my water bottle and caught some of my workout. My IG page looks different than many out there: I don’t use a tripod, no one films me, I get up close and personal (as you can see here), but this is my real workout and sometimes I press record and show you glimpses of it. This is really what I do in my workout, and who I am. Not polished, not perfectly edited, not “for the gram”, just raw and real. #MyWorkout #WorkoutWithMe #UpperBodyWorkout #TRXworkout

    No running pic today, because we went for a 4KM walk after dinner instead 💓. It was nice because it gave us time to talk, to pick up memories of our youth and forget about stress of our daily lives 🌿. Sunset after a warm day is just pure happiness 🌱.

    Have you moved your body today? I’ve been working out consistently since November...and I feel GOOD, you guys. Everything feels strong and connected, if that makes sense. I’ve lost about 10 pounds and gained muscle. My posture has improved. I look better in clothing. But most of all, it helps me emotionally. I honestly don’t think I will ever go without working out again. If you are feeling down or have a lot of aches and pains...just TRY it for a while. Make the time. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. And while you’re at it, write it all in your planner! 🏋🏻‍♀️

I’ve lost about 10 pounds and gained muscle. My posture has improved. I look better in clothing. But most of all, it helps me emotionally. I honestly don’t think I will ever go without working out again. If you are feeling down or have a lot of aches and pains...just TRY it for a while. Make the time. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. And while you’re at it, write it all in your planner! 🏋🏻‍♀️

    Wow it's been awhile huh? 😅 well not that worlds is over and I'm finally settled in at home it's time for a nice little meet recap.😁👌

Squat: went 2/3 and ended with 405kg/892lbs. The main goal was anything over 900 this meet and after missing my second on depth I was a little to aggravated to advocate for the jump that j wanted. All in all I thought I had more in the tank but a good call overall by @hani_tsa and the team.👌

Bench: 3/3 and ended with 212.5kg/ 468lbs. Wanted a little more than this going into the meet but it was a great call by @hani_tsa and the team because this was probably the best call. 🔥👌

Dead:3/3 ending with 320kg/705lbs. In all honesty was most excited for this lift going into the meet because I have been pushing this one the hardest since it's my biggest weakness at this point. And I'm really happy how far its come because I still felt like I had some more in the tank even though this was a pretty good pr.

Total: 937.5kg/2063lbs. And a 🥇🥇🥉🏅performance.
Pretty happy with this performance overall since I medaled in my weakest lift and came out on top as your junior 120+kg world champ! 😁.

It's been really fun and I am very grateful to everyone who has helped me and encouraged me to do my best. The new Full Body Blitz is killer. When I wrote that one out, I didn't think it would be too bad, but DAMN. Efficient, sweaty, and quick. I've also been digging the Fully Body Stretch. That is the exact stretch sequence I do in the morning right when I wake up.

Squatting 165kg for a new national record. I’m now lifting weights I could only dream of two years ago when I did my first competition. It still feels a bit unreal sometimes, but it is exactly why I love this sport so much. Knowing you can achieve anything as long as you set your mind to it and put in the work and time feels very liberating. This is only the beginning, I’m hungry for more.
