    ⚠️STRESS ‼️.

If there was one thing you could learn to dramatically change your health, it would be to truly understand this concept of stress.
.
So what is it? Is it really a bad thing? And can it ever be truly eliminated?.
.
🔹First, you need to understand that stress has 3 main components:.
.
▪️Physical - exercise, car accident, ...
▪️Chemical - Bad nutrition, toxins, ...
▪️Emotional - Job demands, financial, ...
.
🔹Second, stress can be both GOOD and bad. Realizing this can be super empowering! You have what’s called “eustress” (good), and bad stress, which is just called “stress.” An example of eustress is exercising. This example of stress results in building muscle among other benefits. Take that same good exercising regimen, don’t give yourself any recovery time, add more weight than you’re capable of lifting, and now you have bad stress.
.
This same concept can be applicable to all 3 types of stress, leading to what we know as CHRONIC STRESS.
.
🔹Finally, we must realize that YOU CAN NEVER ELIMINATE ALL STRESS FROM YOUR LIFE. As a matter of fact, if you did somehow achieve this, IT WOULD BE A BAD THING!!.
.
Say what!??.
.
💡 YES! Your body was designed to handle stress. We were designed to be able to ADAPT to physical, chemical, and emotional stress.
.
The problem is when the stress EXCEEDS our THRESHOLD for ADAPTABILITY!.
.
So there’s 2 ways to go about this:
.
🔻decrease your stressors.
🔺increase your adaptability!.
.
The second is what we Chiropractors have been focusing on since our conception in 1895. People have called us crazy since then, and now I finally think they’re starting to realize we weren’t so crazy after all!.
