It was a Thursday! A normal day! Stopped at Starbucks on my way to my job as a Kindergarten teacher! At the end of my day, things changed. I suffered a brain aneurysm in my classsroom! A new chapter started for me.

It is the right moment to do so. We are all born in to a world that was already made for us. We can choose to follow or we can choose to create a new world. A world that could be stable to live on. A world with peace and harmony, where all humans and animals live together. Human beings have so much power in the world, because we are more conscious than other life forms. But we're destroying it all because we're controlled by our minds. Our minds let us believe we're superior on this world. Most of us can't control our minds or emotions, we are run by them. We are identified by our minds, by our past and future, by our friends, family and our position in society. -
Our minds only sees the separateness and dualities of all things. That's why there is so much conflict between relations, cultures and whole nations. To desolve that, one must see that mind is just part of the human being. Become conscious about that tool and train it to use it as a tool. Instead of 'it' using you (which is the human ego). By understanding this, you will find oneness with all that exists. By understanding this you can learn so much more what's possible in this new world. And it's already here. You just have to wake up.

These were all doors for me to open 'new worlds', to let me in more control about my physical and mental well-being. There is so much out there than just ordinary life. I'm sharing this, not because i want you to live like a certain way. No, i just want to show you what's possible. In case you don't know much about them; look them up, on google or youtube if you like. Find out more about them, apply them in your life. Your mouth will fall down on the ground when you experience truths that are out there.

This year’s theme for #refugeeweek2019 is, “you, me and those who came before”. This year is an invitation to explore the lives of refugees and those who have welcomed them throughout the generations.
Our generation is important because the future of the world is in our hands. But the sad thing is, that so many children around the world may not be able to have a future. Purely because they are refugees. They don’t have a home. They’ve lost their families. And they are running away. They are running away from the pain, the anger and the sorrow that they are surrounded by. But we know that running away will not help them. Because helping them is in our hands🤲🏼
We need to unite, unite as one and help these innocent people. Help these people who are suffering. Before they break. Before it’s too late
💓
“Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.”

Nearly four years after Sesame Street introduced a muppet that has autism, new research suggests that the show’s materials focused on the developmental disorder are making a difference. A collection of online materials from Sesame Workshop has helped increase knowledge and acceptance of those who are on the spectrum, according to findings published recently in the journal Autism.

Of your life 🥳🥳🥳💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻🤩🤩🤩 Double tap if you’ve got your party hat on!!!⠀
⠀
It’s all about mindset. Letting go of what you can’t control and having the courage and wisdom to take control of what you can⠀
⠀
I’m a control freak and a perfectionist. What are your character flaws that hold you back?⠀
⠀
Those behaviours are so subtle I didn’t realize it for a long time. When things didn’t go my way I’d have an inner meltdown while trying to keep my zen on the outside. I didn’t want people to know how deep these character defects ran inside of me. Aka perfectionism kept me from expressing my true feelings and connecting with others. I hid behind my walls, isolating myself.⠀
⠀
One day, I started to let go of the facade. It was so tiresome pretending all the time. Trying to control everything and everyone in my life, including myself. Keeping it together. Not rocking the boat.⠀
⠀
I’m imperfect. Life’s imperfect. I’m a mess some days. I’m not always zen. And now, after so many years of not being ok, I am ok with the mess. Yoga and meditation helped me so much. They truly saved my soul. ⠀
⠀
I’m a human being. A messy, emotional, sensitive, creative, loving and spiritual human being⠀
⠀
Accepting these things makes me feel happy, even when life isn’t ‘perfect’. I’ve learned that I can feel and express mys⠀
⠀
Acceptance and letting go let’s me own the party like a BOSS 🕺🏻🙋🏻‍♀️💃🏻

    🥚🥚🥚EGGS!

They are an essential part of starting a family. Whether you have your own, or you use donated eggs, or your child has already been born. Your children are your children no matter how they come into the world, and it doesn't matter where they grow.

I don't have a womb, so I've always relied on my ovaries producing eggs, after being told I've got my very own! I'm yet to check this and need to get blood tests to check my AMH/FSH levels. 🤞 Thanks for the advice girls.

EGG DONATION

Providing I do have healthy eggs, I would love to donate them one day. As girls with MRKH don't have periods it's hard to test when we are ovulating but I've heard there are egg donation centres that will help, and it is possible to do this. For me, this would be an amazing thing to gift to couples or single parents who don't have their own eggs, whilst at the same time women are gifting their wombs through surrogacy or transplants. All of these things are huge decisions! If I find out I don't have my own eggs I would definitely consider using donor eggs so it works both ways. 🥚❄
EGG FREEZING

I'm also considering this as I'm not ready to start a family just yet but it would feel amazing to know my eggs are there and ready!

Have you donated eggs? Have you used donor eggs? Have you had your eggs frozen? I'd love to hear your story 💛 Check my story posts too!

Like a sprite you might happen to stumble across while ambling though an enchanted wood, he's just sitting there beneath a patch of glowing leaves. "Hey there, magical little guy," you'd say as you scoop him up and he leans into your cradling arms. In our fantasy scenario, this puppy would speak English with an accent you can't quite put your finger on — sort of like South African — and you'd quickly learn his name is Max and that he traveled here from a distant land (Los Angeles) to fulfill his destiny. His flappy ears and wee curly tail would mesmerize you, and you'd realize in that moment that YOU, in fact, are that mystical destiny. Then you'd both climb on the back of a sparkly flying horse and soar off into the unknown together. In reality, your life is not like a fantastical 80s cult classic, and you'd actually just meet him at our office and then walk down 5th Street into a putridly humid, probably gray sunset together. But that last one is the operative word here, so as long as you've got Max by your side, you're winning. This Chiweenie is about 10 weeks old, very smart, super playful, and a snuggle master. He's a wild child when it's wrestling time, and because he's such a baby, he's a little timid out in the big loud world and will turn to you for reassurance and help building his confidence and getting in touch with his inner adventurer as he grows. Max will probably be 10 to 12 lbs full grown, and he'll need to join an active family where he gets all the puppy training and attention he needs at this fresh age. Interested in adopting? Submit an application at socialteesnyc.org or email your point person if you’ve already been approved! #rescuedogsofinstagram #adoptme #rescuedog #adoptdontshop #dog #mutt #dogsofinstagram #muttsofinstagram #animalrescue #lucky #cute #puppy #sprite #magic #fantasy #puppiesofinstagram #chiweenie #brindle #nyc #love #life #nycdog #raisingawareness #savinglives #secondchance #socialtees #socialteesnyc #straypride

3 years ago this week Lauren talked to 10 children at Dacre Braithwaite School about her experience and Road Safety. It was a tester session to see how the children would react to her and her story. She said afterwards ‘do you think they liked it...if they didn’t, we don’t have to do another one.’ 3 years down the line and with reaching over 3500 Children and Young Adults personally, I think she’s answered her own question! So back to where it all started and with our Learn & Live colleague Insp Paul Cording from @northyorkshirepolice, we visited Dacre Braithwaite School again this afternoon to thank them for that first session and for their continued support of the project. It really is appreciated. Here’s to the next 3 years! 😊 #thankyou #roadsafety #primaryschool #raisingawareness #police #northyorkshire #daretodream

I'm extremely driven to raise awareness on UCA (Umbilical Cord Accidents) ever since Sullivan's untimely death from 3 true knots and a triple nuchal cord. These accidents or potential accidents are not as "rare," as people think. Why on earth would the OB professionals continue to ignore umbilical cord pathology when they KNOW babies die from umbilical cord issues?! How is the umbilical cord (the babies' LIFE LINE) continuely overlooked?! This is a message from Dr. Jason Collins (the expert on UCA and author/researcher of Silent Risk, a book every OB should own) to me over twitter. Anyone, who contacts him for help will never be turned away! Finally a doctor who cares! Unfortunately, in 2019 we are still seeing babies die from something that can be caught and monitored closely to ensure safe delivery IF it is included in standard of care. It is up to us (the Mom's) to demand this care. We have the technology! All the professionals need to do is educate themselves and include looking at the cord on sonograms. I'm infuriated at my OB office at the moment. They are currently offering extra 3D/4D sonograms for "FUN," for "fun," gender reveals and images. All I can say is "Wow, you have ALL this technology and instead of using it to save babies and monitor a much needed part of the baby, Mother and womb, you choose to only use it for "fun." Do you see the problem here?!!! If you are more interested in learning about UCA I highly suggest buying Dr. Collins book or contacting him with your questions. Then share this priceless information with your OB's and if they ignore it find another OB who actually will listen. I'm heading into my first sonogram next Thursday on Layla's 8th birthday and I'm praying we hear baby's heartbeat. I'll be 7 weeks and 2 days by then. I'm cautiously optimistic, but mostly cautious. After any kind of pregnancy loss you never know how much time you may have with your baby. It's an awful thought, I know, but for those grieving baby losses it is a cruel reality. Sending my love to all those struggling today. #umbilicalcordaccidents #uca #cordaccidents #stillbirth #stillbirthfamily #raisingawareness #monitorthecord #pregnancyandinfantloss

Today is #ThankfulThursday! I am thankful for so much. I am thankful for our wonderful family doctor who has been with us since Skylar's first day. I'm thankful for the support of our friends and family. We have so many in our lives that love Skylar and all of us.
I'm very thankful that Skylar is healthy. Her chromosome disorder could have been devastating (Miller Dieker Syndrome) if she were also missing just one #gene. I am so thankful for that one gene.
I am thankful for Cara and Matthew who are protective of their sister without being overprotective. She's just another pest of a baby sister! 🤣
I am thankful for all the lives that Skylar has touched. Whether she only shared a moment, or you really get to know her, I think Skylar has something special that leaves people happy.
I am thankful for Unique. Her condition is so rare that there is little information about it. Without Unique, we would have less information. We also wouldn't have found and befriended so many friends who also share the same deletion. We can learn from each other.

At my brothers wedding last week I joined a conversation with my Dad where he was explaining all about Endo and the Endolines campaign to my uncle and cousin. I asked why they were talking about it and he said “every extra person that knows can help to raise awareness.” 😭🥰.
.
.
I already think my Dad is an absolute hero but this made me fall just a little bit more in love with him! Thank you Dad Endolines! Xxx

‘Just because I could yesterday, doesn’t mean I can today. Just because I can’t today doesn’t mean I won’t be able to tomorrow’
.
This is life with a baby and a chronic illness. This is me. This is Maddie. This is us.
.
Finding ways to fit my treatments in around a new and ever more mobile Maddie is a challenge. But today I felt the fog descending. It starts as a sort of blur I can see out of the side of my eyes and if I let it, it gets too heavy to bear. So, I popped Maddie in her door bouncer and prepared my infusions. She watched me hook myself up to the needles and pump and we chatted while I did it. She will always have a mum who has to do this, so I want it to be as unscathed as possible for her.
.
I infuse 9g of Immunoglobulin G weekly. Immunoglobulin is an antibody making up approximately 75% of our blood serum antibodies. My body does not produce this antibody on its own and so I am able to maintain close to normal levels of it by infusing it. My infusions come from thousands of wonderful blood donors in the USA. It is then shipped here and distributed to patients like myself across the UK by the NHS, who trained me to administer my own treatment in the privacy of my own home and who monitor my condition and treatment closely.
.
There are days when I don’t know how I’ll possibly make it through the morning. There are days when getting out of bed is my proudest achievement. But I am here, bearing all today (wobbly tummy and all!) to tell you that you CAN have it all. Just not all at the same time. If you’re fighting the battle and losing today, know that tomorrow is still undetermined. Enjoy the good days and get through the bad. And be proud. Because you’re a f*cking hero 🙌🏻

It’s essential that you spread awareness on what’s going on in Sudan. Most news outlets aren’t covering this topic so it’s up to us to inform others. In order to spread awareness, many are taking to social media to write about the events taking place there while others change their profile picture to this shade of blue. Others are donating money to charities with the goal of helping those in Sudan. It doesn’t matter what you do; just make sure you do something.

Holding my girl a little extra close today after learning of my sweet friend Sarah’s loss of her newborn baby boy Mason 💙⁣
⁣
Instagram is a place of all things pretty & while I love it all I think it’s equally important to #shatterthesilence and keep it real. Life is short and at times not so pretty. Bringing awareness and support isn’t always the easiest, but it’s what’s needed most.
⁣
Sending all my extra mama strength to you @gypsychildofthewild & to all those in need today. Im no stranger to grief & #lifeafterloss, but if I’ve learned anything on my journey it’s that being there & showing support means more to those in need than you could ever imagine. ⁣

This one is for you Mason 😇 #saytheirnames
