    EVERY DAY SUPER HERO
WORLD HAEMOPHILIA DAY 2019
The Team has been working toward a very special project. For months we have been discussing and planning body paints in anticipation for the upcoming Avengers : End Game movie. But not just for the fun of it. We wanted to kick start our super hero week with our very own hero, to raise awareness of Haemophilia, a condition which (our artist) Jade's son lives with every day.

For those of you who don't know, Haemophilia is a rare genetic blood disorder where the body is missing clotting factors 8 (XIII) or 9 (IX) This means that these factors need to be replaced with medication on a regular basis. Without replacing these factors small bumps can result in bleeds into the joints, muscles and organs.

Jades son Callen is nearly two years old and was born with Haemophilia. Everyone with kids know how stressful having a toddler is, but imagine the added worry of a tiny fall resulting in overnights to the hospital and scans for brain bleeds. Jade's husband Robert explained how life has been for them both, "Life with Haemophilia for a child if frustrating and confusing. He is constantly getting treatment for reasons he doesn't understand, he has countless number of nurses and doctors fussing over him and a family that is, at times, over protective of him. He is growing up and wanting to do things that we, as parents, are reluctant to allow. With Callen it has been even more challenging as he has an inhibitor which means his factor doesn’t protect him as it should and this has meant getting a Central line fitted to allow for easier access for treatment. This however has also came with its own set of challenges, in the form of having to monitor him even more rigorously with his temperature and possible infection. Having to learn how to change his plaster and keep the site clear to minimise infection. This has also meant for Callen the small things in his life have became difficult, like bath time, due to his line and not being able to take him swimming." Not all superheroes wear capes and Callen is our little superhero!

Mediul înconjurător va fi mereu #readymade pentru fotografie, de aici o mică serie, un performance care ațintește privirea spre arta naturii sau a naturii și a omului la un loc.-

You’ve never had your patience tested until you’ve cared for a trachy child with a cold! 👱🏼‍♀️🔫 150 suctions in 24hours (although still not as bad as the first 2 years!)
This pic does not do the size of the black sack full of catheter packets justice. Also so bad for the environment! 😫 Summer can’t come soon enough! ☀️ Edit - I feel like I’m getting all the credit so wanted to add that we do get overnight carer help when they’re not sick so although we don’t always get proper rest from sleeping so close to Loui, it’s not all me now all of the time. But when he’s being suctioned every minute, the days are veeeeeerry long and the nights disruptive and also if he wants me through the night, more tiring still.
But we had to fight tooth and nail to set that care package up.
Anyone who has followed our story from the beginning will know the hell on earth we were living the first couple of years when between myself and my mum we had to cover most nights as well as days at a time when Loui was THE most difficult to care for. Mum actually had to give up her job she’d been at over 20 years for a year at the worst time to help. He had chronic reflux, not a single milk they could provide that would agree with him, slashed neck from the nasty twill trachy ties they were forcing us to use, having to put him through hell frequently changing them when soiled - the main reason we put a bib on him, NG tube being sicked out constantly and me having to hurt my baby getting it back in again each time. So although this life 4 years down the line uses up every ounce of patience leaving us just want to snap at anything extra, we do appreciate that it isn’t quite the same level of hell as it was the first couple of years. No words I could write could ever describe what that was like back then. .

What an amazing program! Kudos to @cppuwd for putting on such a great event! I am so happy that I got to experience it. @uwalk_iglide was definitely inspirational and I’m so happy I was able to hear her story! A take away from tonight - Fortitude- courage in pain or adversity- “the world will not change for you so you need to make it work for you!” Thank you @cpp_drc for providing the sign language interpreters (they were superb) and for being present to share all about our resources for students.

HOW TO BE THE MOST FEMININE VERSION OF SELF? 💕💋🥂
-
I know myself as a very driven, motivated and structured woman, and I take pride in those characteristics. They have helped me to achieve a lot in my life, but at the same time, they also made me feel like I was never doing enough. There was always something I could have done better, more and faster 🤦🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️
-
When I started tapping more into my feminine energy, which for me means more trusting, supporting and allowing and less about doing, figuring everything out and getting my "hands dirty", I started to see myself in a different light. I started to LOVE MYSELF 💕💃🏼
-
I started to realize that it shouldn't always be about doing and sometimes being requires even more courage especially in this masculine energy driven time where only doing gets rewarded
-
Today I want you to think where you could do a little less and be a little more. Comment below

Around 5000 foster kids in LA age out every year, many of whom are unable to support themselves. But we know arts education can greatly benefit all youth, setting them up for future success. At Seen&Heard, we're combining arts education with trauma-informed curriculum to make sure that our class is 💯 appropriate and beneficial to foster youth.

MAJOR EXPLICIT WARNING!!!! Wow. What a drastic change. This is what the world is coming to, aye? This brown, murky mess? Where’s the blue... where’s the greenery? Day after day, the world comes close to its death. Animals, such as the ones broadcasted within the other slides are dying at a recurring rate. Animals are becoming endangered daily, poor creatures are becoming extinct daily... where is the love? We must put a stop to it! Stop littering, stop dumping plastic and stop killing our home! Our humble abode... a great philosopher once wrote: “foolish to call our planet Earth when clearly it is Ocean.” I agree. However, soon enough, our oceans are going to be long gone; along with the bliss of our carcasses. The Earth has had a history nobody can explain or even begin to comprehend... a history to tell other generations and so on after that. But what are we to spread stories of our ancestors that we are no longer to remain in our own flesh and blood? I’d like to request something. Put down your electronics... step outside... and breathe in the crisp oxygen. Cherish the loving and warm fact that YOU are alive on this fine day. Now tell yourself... do you really want this day to end? Because it is. The world is a day. It’s been an extremely prolonged day. Soon, that lovely day will die out. Life will be at its end. I don’t want future generations to reach that crisis. Stop harming the planet. It’s our home, let’s keep it tidy. #naturephotography #nature #pray #upsetting #depressing #upset #sad #earth #ocean #plastic #gogreen #ecofriendly #hippie #savetheplanet #savetheworld #plasticfree #stop #sosad #instatoday #reality #destruction #trulyheartbreaking #treehugger #photo #evil #raisingawareness #control #instaanimals #animals #mothernature

From 28 weeks it is recommended to settle to sleep on your side in pregnancy. Evidence suggests that when you are laying on your side this would provide the best oxygen flow to you and your baby's placenta. It doesn't matter what side to settle on and if you wake up and you're on your back, simply settle to sleep on your side again.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
