    Fitness Update 💪🏻 WOW ... It Has Been A Good While Since I’ve Talked About Working Out & My Progress! Before Baby Number Two & My Health Issues... For Those Of You Who Know Me. Gym Was All I Did... unfortunately After Giving Birth To My Second.... Things Changed Completely Dramatically & Working Out Wasn’t The Same.... it Was At The Beginning after A Few Procedures & surviving a pulmonary embolism, I Had Other Issues... Back Down My Oxygen Went & Quick... But I Still Didnt Give Up & Did It Just At The Rate My Body Can Handle & Let Me Tell You Guys ...I’m One Happy Mama!! My Results Are Awesome . I’m So Proud Of Myself. This Mama Had Two Boys !!! Im Actually Shocked At My Results . I Didn’t Think Id Get Back On Track. My Main Focus Has Been My Tummy (obviously) Trying To Tone Up. ✨✨

    🗣️ The Basics Still Work

Instagram is filled with wonderful creativity but, for the everyday gym goer or newbie, it may be impossible to do handstand push-ups, back flips into a lung or pistol squats with their big toe touching their nose 😅 lol

So I will be showcasing some basic exercises that will assist in giving you that 'toned' hourglass physique, whilst not being too complicated for anyone and everyone working hard towards their Fitness Goals 👸🏾 - MsFitQueenUK 💖

    What I once used to window shop, I now buy as retail therapy.

It’s crazy how life can change! I remember when my family and I first fled war to come to this country, we started from ZERO! Living and buying only the necessities. But as kids We want everything we see in the toy stores. And back then I didn’t understand why I couldn’t have a different toy every week like the other kids in school. 
But they didn’t live the life that I did and looking back now, I wouldn’t change those experiences for the world.. because it made me hungry. It made me get up every time I fell face down. 
When I reflect back, I feel blessed for how far I have come. Hard work does pay off coz when I walk past shop fronts now, I don’t have to think can I afford it? Instead I think do I want it?! #Stayhumble #goals #motivated #hungry #changes #transition #investinyourself #progress

    Exercise: Abdominal Crunch with "Under the Leg" Ball Pass

The exercise set-up:

1. Laying on a flat surface, place legs on the wall with them bent at a 90° angle.

2. Hold a rubber ball in one hand.

How to perform the exercise:

1. Flex the thoracic spine,  perform an abdominal crunch.

2. At the top of the abdominal crunch position, pass the ball from one hand to the other underneath the legs.

3. Repeat for a desired number of repetitions or exercise duration.

    I have lived (and admittedly,  sometimes still do) with this fear of failure. So instead of trying something new, I would just put it on the back burner.. and come up with a reason why it wasn’t meant to be. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is exactly what I’ve done with learning my butterfly pull up! Sometimes the fear of failure can be so great and so paralyzing, that it holds me back for no reason at all.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If there ever is a moment in your life where you wonder if you’re capable of doing something, just try it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And then keep trying, over and over again until things start to click.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And instead of saying, “what if this doesn’t work out”, try to rephrase with “what if this does work out!? What would that be like?”

    Lil transformation, or more so, appreciation post to this BODY OF MINE. “Grow through what you go through.” A quote I’ve recently felt immensely drawn to.

I have put this body through hell. It’s been through depression, anxiety, restrictive eating, binge eating, “recovery,” and then TRUE recovery.

Years of insecurity, years of self destruction, years of projecting my difficulties and struggles onto my body. Years of feeling like giving up every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 day 👏🏻. All of that though, it got me here. It got me to a place of self love. And more so, a place of appreciation FOR that self love.

I don’t wish for a life without struggle. A life with struggle leads to a life of appreciation. Of empathy. Of caring.

I don’t wish for a different story, because my story allows me to help others change the trajectory of their own story.

Don’t let your past destroy you. Let it build you. Let it make you better. Let it make the world better.

    Lil transformation, or more so, appreciation post to this BODY OF MINE. “Grow through what you go through.” A quote I’ve recently felt immensely drawn to.

    I have put this body through hell. It’s been through depression, anxiety, restrictive eating, binge eating, “recovery,” and then TRUE recovery.

    This mock potato salad is so good it’s stupid. This post does come with a blog recipe BUT that’s not what we’re here to talk about today. ♡

We’re all just doing our best, strive for progress and not perfection. Give yourself some credit for once and stop beating yourself up for whatever it is that’s not perfect in your life. The point is to keep going, to keep moving with grace and continue towards your goals. Remember, “most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year – and underestimate what they can achieve in a decade.” -TR ♡ -

So, if this week you cheated on your “diet” or if you’re trying to go “vegan” but can’t seem to give up your favorite cheese, yet. AND I bet you had that favorite cheese of yours FAAAAR less than you’ve ever had before. PROGRESS. Focus on all the changes, even if they are small, those are the important building blocks to reaching goals. And while we’re at it, here’s our daily reminder to stop comparing ourselves to others. You’re doing great. ♡
