Hope everyone adjusted to daylight savings time okay. If not there are always other ways to make it through the day

Coworkers help you get through some rough days. I love my new team but miss my old coworkers. Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

The highlight of my Pam career so far was meeting H. Jon Benjamin, the voice of Archer, at his book talk and signing. I asked a question during Q&A, and when he saw me he said in that deadpan voice, “Oh my God.” And it was perfect. He loved my cosplay, we had some good banter, and at first thought my tattoo was real!
.
I’ve been a fan of Archer since it premiered, and Pam is a character I strongly relate to. There are so few strong plus-sized characters in the media, and I thought it would be fun to take on her look and personality. As of 2018 I’ve cosplayed 9 versions of Pam, numerous times. People will swap Archer dialogue with me, ask if the tattoo is real, let me shoot whipped cream in their mouths, all sorts of cool stuff. It’s crazy to me how many people love a lady in a wig and sweatpants.
.
The most important part of Pam is her hair, so I got a great, comfortable wig from Arda Wigs (Jeannie long in Ash Blonde). My good friend Louise Holoday, a film/TV hair and makeup professional I met through Avon Players Theatre, did a quick initial style of the wig, which we later altered to be more realistic and easier to maintain. The tattoo is probably the next most important part. That was the result of hours upon hours of scouring the internet until I found a free template for it, created by Sara at Wartooth Designs. Then I found temporary tattoo paper at JoAnn, and followed the instructions on the package to create and apply it. I always need a buddy to apply it, and I always create extra copies in case of errors! The other costume elements came together quite easily, purchasing clothes online or in-store.
.
It’s been so wonderful getting to know all these cosplayers, that I’ve started a podcast where a friend and I (Polar Phoenix Cosplay) get to know cosplayers from all walks of life: Cosplay Confidential . That wouldn’t have happened without this network of supportive cosplayers.
