    Sharing a simple smoothie recipe today because sometimes the simplest recipes are the yummiest ones! 
PB & J SMOOTHIE
(SIBO friendly for the diet I’m doing)
1/2 frozen banana (slightly green)
1/3 cup frozen blueberries 
Frozen spinach (not included in the picture for aesthetic purposes)
2 ice cubes
2 tsp sunflower seed butter 
1 tsp honey 
1 cup almond milk
Blend and enjoy!

TO MAKE LOW CARB WAFFLES:
.INGREDIENTS:
2 large eggs 
1/4 cup almond milk
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon maple extract OR vanilla extract
2 tablespoons granulated monkfruit sweetener (or coconut sugar for paleo), add more if you prefer a sweeter waffle
2 tablespoons coconut flour @bobsredmill 
1 cup superfine blanched almond flour @bobsredmill 
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
Coconut oil spray, olive oil spray or ghee .

INSTRUCTIONS:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, apple cider, maple (OR vanilla) extract until smooth.

Add the monkfruit sweetener, almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, cinnamon & salt. Mix until smooth and just combined - do NOT overmix.
Allow the batter to thicken up slightly while you turn on the waffle maker.

Preheat waffle maker and spray generously with pure coconut oil spray.
Spoon in 1/4 cup of the batter for each waffle. Close the lid and cook until light & crispy (about 5 mins. per side)
Repeat with remaining batter. This makes about 5 (1/4 cup) waffles.
Serve with your favorite toppings and sides.

    I’d been craving a fresh pesto sauce for a few days, and this did not disappointment! 👌🏼

For the pesto sauce:
🌱 3 cups fresh basil
🌱 10 cloves garlic (I like a LOT of garlic)
🌱 2-3 tbsp pine nuts
🌱 2-3 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
🌱 2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast
🌱 olive oil and water depending on desired texture
🌱 salt to taste

Blend all ingredients in a food processor. Serve over sautéed zucchini noodles (with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder) and cubed chicken (I seasoned the chicken tenders with salt and pepper and cooked it on a cast iron - the chicken tenders are small and skinny so they can cook fully on a cast iron in minutes!). Enjoy! 🙌🏼

I deeply love them both and can hack the occasional nightshade exposure (but I’ll definitely feel it and absolutely can not do more than once let’s say a month. I probably don’t even do that often). Life without chiles and tomatoes is tough eating in the wild (aka restaurants) but it’s quite delicious at home once you get the hang of it.

    i was finally craving a smoothie bowl again today after a longer than usual stint without my number one fav food due to currently freezing my butt off in Melbourne❄️ - smoothie bowls in 10 degree weather just aren’t as appealing sadly 😭 but this dreamy pink bowl was much needed and is looooaded with antioxidants from pitaya and goji berries and superfoods from @skinb5 superfood booster, because as we all know I’m a bit of a superfood fiend and I’ll try and supercharge every meal I can with extra nutrients because why the hell not😂 - this blend has 63 super charged ingredients and no fillers, uhhhh yeah thats right …. All that goodness jammed into one powder that you can add into whatever you damn well please to get a nutrient boost (think noni fruit powder, St marys thistle, organic kelp powder, maca root, beetroot powder, ginger, turmeric, slippery elm, echinacea… yeah allllll the good stuff, need I go on?)

RECIPE 💕
1.5-2 frozen bananas
1 cup frozen raspberries
3/4 cup frozen zucchini (I promise you can’t taste it!)
1 teaspoon @skinb5 superfood booster
1 cup water or plant based milk of choice (pour into the blender in increments as needed)
1 teaspoon pitaya powder *optional for extra pink goodness

In a high speed blender blend everything together!✨ Add more liquid if the blender is struggling a little/if it’s too thick! Top with whatever goodies you have on hand, coconut yogurt also tastes great with this combo 🤩 #clearskinfromwithin #skinb5
