    Happy Wednesday! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Isn't it funny how when we travel to a new place everything is so beautiful? We snap away trying to remember every single detail of our trip, phone filled with pictures of random structures and skylines. But when we come home, we take for granted our own surroundings. This picture reminds me (Rach), that no matter how far we go, we should never take for granted of what we have. Find beauty in everything and remember to take in your surroundings today! ♥️

Y’all give up too soon for me. I’ve never been the type that wouldn’t work for what I deserve. 🥂💖

Before we started travel nursing here in California, we lived on the Ohio/Michigan border for a couple of years gaining experience in our specialties at a large hospital system. On our time off, Michigan proved to be such a beautiful state and we loved visiting places like this. Our goal is to see ALL the places this great country has to offer 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 #nurseswandering #nurseswhotravel #RN #travelnurse #travel #nurselifern #nurse #travellife

Channeling my inner Halle Bailey inside this Mermaid Cave!! 🧜🏾‍♀️
.
.
.
.
I could have easily stayed down here all day 😩 well, realistically, until the sea level started to rise (which it did)! I think this may be one of the most dangerous adventures I’ve done thus far though tbh. I’ll be telling you why + how to get here on Le blog: www.nursealee.com. So stay tuned and make sure you subscribe so you never miss a post! 🤙🏾
.
.
.
Meanwhile, back above ground, I start orientation later today so I’ll be training in front of a computer screen for majority of the day and not these tidal waves 😅 what do you guys have planned today?

    Just me by the #Seine 🇫🇷 .
.
A delayed flight from London got me to Paris after the trains stopped running. I ended up on a bus where I almost started a fight between two Frenchmen. One was disgusted to be sitting so close to an American, the other was not bothered. I wished I could have said something (in French) to help, but I was useless so I shut up.
.
I ended up walking about a mile and a half to the hotel, at 2 a.m. with two real angels, fellow travelers stuck in a similar situation. Then I slept until 2 p.m.!!!
.
I went for a peaceful walk by myself, felt a tiny bit lonely, but very grateful to be here. To have the opportunity to live the life I always wanted after living in self imposed prisons is miraculous.
.
I also bumped into an outdoor salsa party in the riverbank and made some new friends! Not lonely anymore😍

I normally pack work out clothes and maybe hit the gym once while on vacation. This year I’m working on being better (aka I’ve gone twice 🤷🏻‍♀️ better than nothing). Surrounding myself with people who motivate me definitely helps (also forcing them to be my photographer). Being active is more than just a way to stay in shape. It calms my anxiety and restores balance in my mind. I found that working out before nursing exams and now before my shifts brings me the peace I need to tackle the day.
The times I truly dread working out are the times I need it most. Even if it’s a quick 30 minutes which a lot of times thats all I have time for.
Then there are the times I sit on my couch binge watching gossip girl and eating ice cream by the pints. #LiveYourTruth

Only one more day of this peacefulness and then back to the chaos.

I’m excited to announce I’ll be working with @affinitymedwear to help get you guys some deals on amazingly soft scrubs😍 What I love the most about this company is their mission. Every pair of scrubs sold they donate a toy to a child in need. Part of their proceeds also goes towards planning a special day for a pediatric patient!
.
When people find out I work at a children’s hospital one of the first things they say is “wow that must be really hard” but what they don’t realize is how uplifting it can be to see how resilient these kids are! One of the places where I smile the most is at work, and it’s because of the kids and people I work with.💕

Once upon a time, I met some charming Italians by the names of Fendi and Ferragamo on my last day in Rome. We instantly fell in love, hopped on a red Vespa, perpetually ate gelato, and then we all lived happily ever after. The end.❤️ #basedonatruestory
