  • We all have our struggles and hard times but it’s what you do with them that counts. I’m 16 with a vision and a purpose that I WILL fulfill because I CAN and I tell myself that everyday. I’m not looking for a come up, I’m simply building one.   • Gotta enjoy that last bit of summer weather. Easy run down to Christie Pits; I thought about going longer/harder but after yesterday my legs were all “Lol no bitch.” Who am I to argue with my quads? Been a bit since I recapped a week. Week 38 and I feel pretty positive. Several good runs + workouts, no particularly bad ones. Mileage was higher than it’s been for quite some time. I even got on the scale for the first time in at least six months, just out of curiosity, and was pleasantly surprised to find myself a good bit lighter than I was expecting. I try not to place too much importance on the number- that’s why I stopped weighing myself in the first place. I find that as long as I’m exercising regularly and not eating total crap, my weight remains stable over the long term (and besides, I don’t need a scale when I have eyes and a mirror). All that aside, I’d rather weigh less than expected versus more. I felt a bit fat after Sulphur and I’m glad my body has normalized. With less than a month to go til #STWM , I’ll be glad to see the hind end of multi-hour long runs. 10 months of long distances was great for breaking mental barriers and keeping me active. It was not great for keeping me fast and strong. I have no regrets, but at this point, I’m not burnt out, just bored. Been a bit since I recapped a week. Week 38 and I feel pretty positive. Several good runs + workouts, no particularly bad ones. Mileage was higher than it’s been for quite some time.   • This is one of my favorite drills help players of all ages and skill levels learn how to keep the floor spaced. Players make a game move, get two feet in the paint, then kick out to the open shooter. To keep the spacing they then clear out past the three point line. I like to use this drill as part of a warm up for either 10-15 reps per player or for 1-2 minutes. It’s a great way for players to work on ball handling, passing, and some cardio!
