    Live a debt free life.
By debt, I mean guilts and stresses, worries and regrets.
We carry these around as if we own them and have to honour them.
But there not ours to keep.
Let them go, leave them behind.
Be free and live a debt free life.

I’m a planner 🤓, but a ticket to @sedonayogafestival presented itself at the last minute, so I shucked my norm and just went for it and had the pleasure of taking class w/ @taoporchonlynch100 who is still teaching & practicing yoga at 100 years young 😲. She offered so many wise words, my favorite being “You’ve got to learn how to breathe 🌬” -⠀
⠀
I also took an interesting lecture 🤔 on the Neuroscience of Kindness which stressed the importance of compassion, by getting out of the limbic brain 🧠 responsible for ‘fight or flight’ and through developing a compassion practice we stimulate the frontal neocortex which is responsible for ‘tend and befriend.’ Acting from the front part of our brain plays a big role in expanding & deepening our humanity by learning to resolve conflict by wiser means than eye for eye 👁 which leaves the whole world 🌍 blind.... some politicians and world leaders could stand to hear some of this info 👂. Well enough about my weekend... come learn to breathe with me this week 😉 ⠀

“Really, I never thought I’d be such a straight edge. I hardly recognize myself sometimes. I never thought I could be one of those people who didn't need drugs or alcohol to be high on life. I was afraid that life would be dull without drugs. That life would be boring without alcohol. That my company would be less fun. That my friends would be less fun. That I couldn’t relax. That I couldn’t access my creativity. That I couldn’t dance my fxcking ass off. But everything I thought I knew about the sober life was wrong. Sobriety has brought an explosion of vitality, clarity and color into my life. I’m learning that everything I’ll ever need to relax, let go, have fun, turn on, create, and awaken is within. At 33 I celebrate that: Life as it is. Me as I am. An endlessly abundant source of joy and energy that burns burns burns but never burns out.” .
.
Excerpt from my upcoming blog post: “From Party Girl to Yogi: This is 33.” To be released on my birthday TOMORROW 😉🥰❤️

“At any given moment, there’s a lot of life happening around us. It’s far too much to take in all at once, which means we need to consciously choose where we place our attention—and how we perceive the things that we allow to hold our focus.

This is usually influenced by our mental state. When we’re angry, we’re more apt to find people annoying. When we’re hurt, people can seem insensitive. And when we’re happy, all of a sudden, the world seems like a kind and beautiful place.

Essentially, we narrate the world based on our moods, just like those pithy voiceovers, usually delivered by Morgan Freeman.

But there is another way to go about it—we can instead create our moods by consciously choosing to see the good around us. It’s always there. It’s just a matter of whether or not we’re willing to look and see.”🧘🏼‍♀️

LET’S MEDITATE: DROPPING BENEATH YOUR PROBLEM * .
.
This is a meditation for taking a break from anxiety about something that is still happening, or for when you feel stuck on a particular problem. .

Begin by noticing that you’re obsessing over something. Visualize your problem as having a specific shape and color. For example, it might take the shape of an unruly ball of twine.
.
Imagine dropping beneath that unruly problem with Love by your side, quietly watching the chaos pass by overhead. .

Beyond the perceived problem is a quiet, still space in you, which remains unchanged despite whatever seems to confront you. This is the place where we are going to rest, in stillness and trust.
.
While pausing in the stillness, stay connected to your willingness to see the problem differently as you rest outside this chaotic energy.
.

Notice what it feels like to be separate from your problem. Be the quiet observer. Be at ease, and take a break from trying to solve the problem. Notice that it feels good: you might notice calmness, or a renewed sense of trust that things will work themselves out.
.

You don’t have to participate in the chaos. You can quietly witness it all unfolding without feeling involved. .

Trust that things will shift when they are ready to shift, or that your next step to take will be made clear. .

Continue to rest in this quiet space for as long as you’d like.

    Mediation be like... 👆

Medicine, magic, a super power.

I have some very wise clients who commit to weekly one on one guided meditation practice with me. Mediations are personalised and intuitive in nature, with most finding the process powerfully healing and highly clarifying. In my coaching work mediations are often used to tap into the highest self for guidance, inspiration or simply learning the art of stillness. When we reach a place of peaceful surrender we become receptive to a creativity, flow and insight with greater purity as the ego recedes.
💜 enquiries regarding working with me to develop your meditation skills to open a doorway into your best self are welcome, just hit me up via the email button in the bio. (Face to face in my studio in Warrnambool or online).

For today’s #mondaymotivation we’re thinking on this. Take what you need and pass it on! How have you passed it toward today? Or if you haven’t yet, what’s one thing you can do to get the ball rolling?

Since I began teaching yoga in 2001, I’ve spent the majority of my time offering personalized, private yoga lessons. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love teaching groups, and continue to do so, but there are many benefits from personalized yoga. Here are some questions to see if one on one yoga sessions are right for you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧘🏻‍♀️You’ve never tried yoga, but would like to begin. 🧘🏻‍♀️You find yoga classes, even level one or basics, are too challenging. 🧘🏻‍♀️You experience pain during or after class (this is not the same as normal muscle fatigue or soreness). 🧘🏻‍♀️You have an injury - related to yoga or not. 🧘🏻‍♀️You want to advance your practice or work on specific poses. 🧘🏻‍♀️Your schedule doesn’t allow you to go
to yoga classes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Students in my private yoga programs experience wide ranging benefits like improved strength 💪🏻, flexibility and balance.
They are active and continue to run, bike, hike, and develop a home yoga practice. They feel like themselves again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Personalized yoga means sessions are tailored just for you, as every body is different. One on one, my students have transformative experiences, eliminating their pain and increasing their energy.
I have just two openings for private San Diego students this Spring. Please schedule a time to speak with me at the link in my profile 👆🏻above. You’ll fill out a quick form so we can connect.

    Grace.
This word is a homecoming for me.
So much serenity held in one word.

Grace to me means being at peace with myself.
Deep gentle breaths.
Choosing to be kinder, gentler, loving to myself and others.
Full heart.
Being easy on myself.
Telling myself the words I need to hear.

I interrupt my anxiety with my grace.

Check out stories to see everything I got in this month’s ER order 🌱💫 + how I use each item!

Joining Young Living was the best decision I could have ever made for myself and now my family. But also signing up for Essential Rewards was an even better decision. Wellness goodness sent straight to your door step every month.

What I love most about ER is it’s 100% customizable so you’re able to stock up on oils + products that you need (and want). Plus, the more you spend the more points you rack up— which means FREE product 🙌🏼 What more could ya want?

Investing in my health has never been so fun!

Did you ever feel like if you could maybe hang on just a little bit tighter, that you would be able to 'make it' to (something, anything) better? Tell me, what do you think would happen if you chose to let go? I mean, we all have responsibilities to the world at large--but what if we let go of defining who we are by those attachments?
