⠀ #medvida #app #appsaude #saude #health #prontuario #vida #life #diagnostico #medicina #brasil #medvida #med #medic #medschool #medicalschool #medstudent #medlife #doctor #doctors #medical #medicos #pharmacy #checkup #consultamedica #alzheimer

  • Late finish tonight as I spent the evening at a Paediatric Neurology meeting listening to 2 lectures by well respected neurologists. The first was on seizures, including the different types of seizures and their presentations, and also episodes that may look like seizures but have very different underlying causes. The second was about neurosurgery, congential pathology, and the role of neurosurgeon, but finished up describing a very challenging case surrounding a patient with an AVM and intracranial haemorrhage. It definitely raised awareness regarding difficult decisions such as what can you treat, and what should (or shouldn& #039 ;t) you treat? 🤔 • There are lots of challenges depending on which specialty a doctor chooses to practice, but I can only imagine losing a child or knowing the only treatments left would be futile attempts to restore function are some of the most difficult situations to come to terms with. It makes having a good team network and support system in place all that more important. • • #paediatric #pediatric #neuro #neurosurgery #brain #seizure #epilepsy #medical #medicalschool #medstudent #medstudentlife #futuremedic #doctortobe #student #study #studyspo #studygram #studymotivation #usmle #usmlestep1 #usmlejourney

  • 7 years separates these pictures. And while you might think I looked happy in the photo on the left, the truth is I was miserable. I was starting my third year of medical school, I was pregnant with my third son, and I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and in terrible health (not to mention STRESSED). . In the right picture I am a stay-at-home mom who takes the time to put herself and her health first. I joined an online coaching business where the major requirement is that I work on ME FIRST and then I help others do the same. I still earn money helping others, but now I get to help them BEFORE they end up in the hospital or at the drs office. I see them become confident and happy as a result of my dedication to being their health coach and I LOVE it...and I get to make my own schedule and do things in the way that I WANT to do them, not the way the medical care system tells me I have to do them. . Transformations come in many forms but the biggest ones for me have always been mental. Being able to be proactive about my health and helping others do the same is just as much, if not more satisfying than helping others fight disease and illness. . Bottom line... find what makes you happy and then do that. While what I do isn’t a conventional profession its positive impact on others is worth everything to me. ❤️ . . . . #transformationtuesday #tuesdaymotivation #medicalschool #doctorslife #stress #healthylifestyle #coachinglife #lovemyjob #momof4boys #boymom #wahm #sahm

  • As we all know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month 💗 This disease is a cause so near and dear to my heart since my beautiful mum has been battling triple negative breast cancer this year. Her journey began out of no where as a total shock. She discovered her tumor during a self examination. Although she’s had to endure so much between months of chemo, multiple surgeries, and weeks of radiation, she was lucky enough to detect and catch it in its relatively early stages. My mum has been an absolute inspiration to me through this entire journey as she’s always kept such a brave face and high spirits. I want to share her journey with you guys and stress the importance of self breast examinations! If you feel something that doesn’t feel right, go and get it checked. Cancer unfortunately is a horrible disease & something so out of our control. But taking preventive measures can make all the difference! Here’s to all those fighting or who have fought💗

  • @stetholifestyle 💚 Hi! I am a 4th year medical student from Copenhagen, Denmark. My dream is to pass on joy and happiness to sick children by becoming the best pediatrician I can possibly be. There is more to being a doctor then just your anatomical knowledge ☺️✌🏼! @mheegaard #stetholifestyle
