    My sweet tooth has led me on many a great adventure. This is the day I landed in London to start my expat life. I had visited Dominique Ansel's shop back in New York, but never had the famed cronut. When hubby and I went to LA, I figured I'd have the cronut there, but alas we never got to. So I told my husband I absolutely had to get to Dominique's in London. We got off the train from the airport, landed in Victoria and I was ecstatic. Ironically, no cronuts were to be had that day because it was November and the flavor of the month was pumpkin (blegh). But all was not lost, I had one of the best croissants🥐 to date- almond and chocolate 🍫which was scrumptious when warmed (when we went back a month later and tried the regular chocolate one, we were disappointed because the almond and chocolate raised the bar so high!). And then, because hubby and I have both been to Paris, I got my fave Parisian pastry- Paris-Brest. Though this time, it had an earl grey flavor and a monocle to give it a posh British twist. I loved it for the nostalgia and taste, but nothing beat that croissant! 🤤

    A quick pâté with whole smoked mackerel from the AMAZING @fcsoper_fishmongers. Forked it with with labneh, lemon, dill + parsley. Then ate it with @lbpedlar sourdough and the summer’s lacto-fermented cucumbers.
