There’s nothing like feeling the summer’s breeze and sun rays on your your skin. It’s hot but it’s a nice change in weather.

I saw this on someone else’s Instagram so thought I’d do one for those who don’t properly know me 😁 10 things about me:
1) My name is Emily but friends/fam call me Em, Emmie or Emz
2) I am a Mummy to two beautiful girls ❤️
3) When I was younger I used to play the guitar & flute (@harv3y_85 remember the assembly’s 😂)
4) I used to be in a church choir when I was younger, our parents made me and my younger brother go
5) I had my friend Daughter when I was 25 & she came 5 weeks early so I worked full time literally up until the day before she was born
6) I have 4 other siblings
7) I’m a qualified beauty/massage therapist
8) I tried going Vegan for a few months - Plant based life is good but I really missed certain foods
9) I’ve been a single Mother for nearly 4 years now
10) I recently this year dealt with some pretty bad anxiety - Never be afraid to ask for help!
Would love to know one thing about you! Comment Below!

✨H A P P I E S T H O U R✨ in the heart of Dallas is the place to go to have a great time with friends. The restaurant/bar scene makes it perfect to spend the whole day there (like I did yesterday)- the food was pretty good as well! It’s spacious and the service was fast and nice. The drinks were on point as well💁🏽‍♀️. I asked the server for a refreshing drink twice and they did not disappoint. •

Rating: 11/10! The rooftop bar upstairs is my favorite part. You get a great view of downtown Dallas and they have patio furniture to be able to lay back and mingle with friends. The only thing that sucks is the Texas heat! I couldn’t stand out there longer than 10 minutes. The ambiance is what makes this place so great! #ADoseofDamini #StayBeautiful #HappiestHour #its5oClockSomewhere

    hi
just sorting through my messy bookshelf 🍂 it’s tricky to reach the top without a chair but I can do it (I’m 5’6/5’7) 🙈
how tall are you? Can you reach your top bookshelf? 🙂

As I was walking into church today I was reminded of a season not too long ago where I would walk into church empty handed, sit down in my chair and just listen. Almost four years ago that forever changed in the best way. Sundays were/are spent walking down the halls with a baby on my chest, or half listening to the message while half attending to the little one next to me and for a few months not even attending at all due to sickness that plagues families of toddlers like wildfires.
I remember so vividly those first months of that drastic change. Feeling the lack of community. Questioning whether it was worth it to try to go at all. Running out the door and always arriving late or without someone’s shoes.

But just like most things in life, the romanticism of what I looked for on Sundays was stripped and rebuilt on what God was trying to teach me.
There is sanctification when we’re uncomfortable. That Psalm 23 had a lot less to do with me, and more to do with him. That abiding is more than listening, it’s an effort to cling to what is true despite what we’re feeling. That little eyes noticed we valued community with others and with Christ even if it was hard to get out the door. That nothing could steal my joy if my expectations for Sunday mornings were let go of and my focus was on the gift of Christ. That worship in the hallway was just as good as it was in the sanctuary. And even though this season changed for me, God was immutable.

When you cling to something immutable when everything around you is changing, you’ll notice your heart can change in the best way while anchored to a hope that remains the same. Psalm 102:2
