Back in the UK & back in the gym.
It was a heavy push session with @rich_sutherland_ after training pretty light for the last 18 days and we finished off with a bit of an outdoor circuit. Loved it but I’m suffering today!

    I made a friend! @carrie_kebble
☀️☀️☀️
Who would have thought on the start line of the London marathon, I would have started talking with another runner! 💞

We were aiming for the same time bracket (Sub 5) and stuck together for just over half of it! Talking and laughing.

I still to this day believe we got eachother through on some level! What a blessing to share an amazing experience 💪🏾🤙🏾🌟

80 days to marathon 🏃🏾‍♀️

"I love that running brings people together

Community! 💪

I've never been surrounded by so many runners in my life, who at the end of the day, regardless of time goals, were all fundamentally trying to complete the same distance 😊

We all had the common goal of getting to the finish, and that's what makes the marathon an emotional event!

I frequently encountered runners struggling and said to EVERY single one of them "Come on, you've got this". In my early days of running and even up until recently the motivational words of others is often what pulled me through, and I really wanted to make a difference even if it was relatively small!! @thewelshrunner is one true example of true sportsmanship 👍✨ Talking to runners I didn't previously know, on the start line, was a reminder of what running is truly about. Meeting others and having fun!
➖
I'd be lying if I said to you it was a breeze the whole way but I took the advice I was given and ran really well!! At mile 19 I started to tire but then I remember WHY I was running...And then kept on running!! (Oh, and of course, loads of you were tracking me too, especially @runroguecollective @kwmarathoner @harrierscroydon, couldn't let you down 😂😂) When you take yourself out of the equation and think about the people, there is no bigger boost!! ❤️
➖
😎 So grateful to run for the #RGA charity!

Sorry for the long soppy post but it had to be done!!! WELL DONE ALL MARATHON RUNNERS 💪💪 - So glad to officially be a member of a ruthless squad"

Good luck to all you marathon runners, just 5 days to go now! 🌟

    🔥🔥LIFT HEAVY VS LIFT LIGHT🔥🔥
--
Guys support me by following me @roadtofitness20 take a look at my profile, its got amazing content. 💥💥💥🔥🔥🍓
--
If you want to pack on the most muscle and burn fat you need to be lifting heavy. Go out your comfort zone and lift or maybe go for extra set or extra rep. Lifting light would be ideal for accessory workouts to get those lagging areas.

****Its a marathon not a freaking sprint**** Anyone that knows me, has worked with me or just hangs around enough to listen to all my many rants I go in daily knows how much I freaking LOVE barbell work! But also how much I detest getting someone underneath the barbell BEFORE they are ready and have built a solid foundation of mobility, movement pattens and understanding of their own bodies. Sure we can wack some weights on a bar, tell our clients “do this, do that, drive those knees out, engage your core” but if they can’t relate to such things, do not understand what you are saying and you don’t set an example and build them from foundation upwards we are not setting them up for the best and strongest possible outcome.
Shown in this video is my amazing client and warrior John. John was been working with me for a while, and throughout all our sessions together has had absolutely everything explained to him as to why we start with the base and work upwards from there. Just doing legs itself was a struggle at first, and mobility through the shoulders to comfortably back squat just wasn’t there. Regressed movements, patience, understanding and a lot of bloody hard work has resulted in John getting a comfortable back squat sit. I told him last night, I told him this morning and I’ll tell you again right now John how unbelievably proud I am of you, and how thankful I am of the trust you have in myself and my teachings.
I have a couple spots opening up May 13th for Personal Training / Strength sessions so please reach out now for any more information or to just have a chat about your goals. Team Unleashed is ALWAYS looking for new warriors to join us and start smashing some goals, safely and the right way. ❤️ Unleashed

First deadlift session felt easy, fast and smooth! Trying to focus more on my stand and feet position.
.
➡️ 190kg x5
➡️ 200kg 2 sets x5
➡️ 190kg paused x5
.
.
Bastard DL bar @strengthshopeurope 🙏

Start of test week with @jaggyjag - kicking it off with a 1RM Bench.
-
Last time ended up with a 1RM of 120kg, this time managed to get 130kg (first video), before trying for 135 which just got stuck halfway and wouldn’t move.
-
Keen to push for a 3 plate bench by the end of the year, but pretty stoked to have moved 130, especially with my bench being one of my weaker lifts. -
On to deadlifts tomorrow
