We like to start our week off just right here at Regent Sounds, and what better way to get into the groove of things, than with today's #GuitarOfTheDay. Say hello to this electric @OfficialGretsch G2655T Streamliner Center Block Jr, finished in a luxurious Fairlane Blue. Complete with an aesthetically and pitch-warblingly beautiful @Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, this guitar looks and sounds the part of its bigger siblings, with a smaller profile that feels homely and comfortable to play. Featuring a maple, semi-hollow body, a nato Thin-U-profile neck and a 12"-radius Laurel fingerboard, this guitar maintains the unique, comfortable playing experience that we have come to know and love from the Streamliner series. Tones are uniquely Gretsch, too - few humbucker-equipped guitars are as balanced-sounding, and articulate in their high-end response as these: largely thanks to their incorporated Broad'Tron BT-2S humbuckers. And this blue beauty is no exception to Gretsch's outstanding reputation for building quality instruments. So why not pop down to our Denmark Street store this week, and give it a strum? You may just fall in love with this moody-blue beauty...

Today’s #GuitarOfTheDay is a beautiful G2622Streamliner Center Block, from @OfficialGretsch, adorned in a Wine Red finish. We keep reiterating it, but we have to stress just how much guitar you’re getting for the price, with these Streamliners. This beautiful instrument not only looks the part, but is made to a specification that ensures you’re getting a top-caliber, semi-hollow electric guitar. With a maple body, and Nato ‘Thin U’-profile neck topped with a Laurel fingerboard, you get an instrument that is resonant, comfortable to play, and sustains for days: particularly in the non-tremolo configuration, as with this example. An anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, and V-Stoptail together make for a guitar that intonate and stays in-tune, with exceptional reliability. Sonics are covered by a pair of Gretsch’s own Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers, and while the guitar has plenty of that semi-hollow thump to its response, its chambered spruce centre block provides great feedback control, and a little extra immediacy to your pick attack: perfect for playing at high volumes, or with a little overdrive. These instruments are superb, and you can always be sure that we have a selection of them in-stock, at Regent Sounds. Why not check out the range, at your favourite Denmark Street store, beforethe weekend kicks in? It’ll certainly be a worthwhile trip…
