I am so excited to watch each room on this bee hotel get taken! These bee hotels are meant for solitary bees like Mason bees. Mason bees do not live in colonies, do not swarm, and do not produce honey. Mason bees are great pollinators, and are non-aggressive. The best place to hang a hotel is around 5 feet off the ground, in a spot that gets morning sunlight and protection from the rain. We've put it on the side of our shed, because it gets morning sun, and in a month this spot will be full of flowers. The bees need mud to cover the openings of the tubes after they have laid their eggs, so make sure she has access to wet soil. In the fall, move the hotel (with the babies inside) to a safe indoor spot like your shed (not inside your house!). Early next spring, return the house to it's original spot. The bees will hatch, you clean out the tubes and place back for next seasons babies!
P.s Rocks are decorative features provided by Emily.

Hello garden friends! I missed you all while I was away, and was so thankful to come home to a rosy welcome 🌹. It's odd that I've only been off IG for a few days, yet it feels like I've missed so much. Oh my! I see that it rained quite a bit while I was gone 🌧 but what else is going on in your gardens? 🌿
