behold... bai tong ! thai food is SO good, and bai tong is one of the best thai restaurants in johns creek. i ordered the drunken noodle and accidentally got the noodles spicy. if you know me, i can’t take down any spice, but i didn’t want to waste the mounds of utterly delicious noodles in front of me, so i sucked it up like a buttercup and dove in. it wasn’t the most pleasant experience (5 glasses of water to finish half the noodles !), but at least my spice tolerance increased by twofold (or so i say). without the spice, i think it would have been even better, but as much as i can’t tolerate spicy food, the noodles were undeniably delicious. be sure to check out bai tong if you like thai food😵

My favorite dinner is actually breakfast food ! I don’t think that makes sense, but to put it frankly, I LOVE french toast and belgian waffles to the extent that i would gladly eat both as my dinner (or any meal of the day). We went out to celebrate a friend’s birthday at Avalon, and we stopped by Cafe Intermezzo to grab dinner. I ordered the original French Toast and one of my other friends ordered the Belgian Waffles. We split both of the dishes so we could both try the two delicious options, and I was thoroughly satisfied! The Belgian Waffles are on a whole different level—the exterior of the waffle borderlines on crunchy instead of being soggy and when you bite into the golden waffle, it gives way to endless fluffiness and sweetness. The waffle, in other words, was HEAVEN. The french toast wasn’t bad either; although I wish I had added on a topping like strawberries, they were still pretty good. With a little scoop of whipped cream and generous amounts of syrup (but not too much— you don’t want to drown your poor french toast in a sugar bath🥺), it hit the spot. .

today, we decided to cruise around johns creek and scour new places to check out. our first stop was at Beard Papa’s, a cream puff shop. The place was super cute, with cheery yellow tinted walls and friendly staff. We each got a cream puff (green tea base with green tea filling and the original cream puff). The cream puff, while it is a little bit more on the pricier side as they were around $3.75 for just a single cream puff, was absolutely delicious. The cream of the original cream puff was delicate and the perfect amount of sweet (not too overpowering) and the cream puff base itself was cold, which was perfect and super refreshing on a hot, sunny day! the green tea cream puff was something unique; the matcha coating on the cream puff base was nothing short of flavorful, and to my surprise, the green tea cream filling was packed with flavor. Often, matcha companies tend to ease up on the amount of matcha they add to their desserts, cautious of the bold, intense flavor of the matcha, but on the flip side, this cream puff filling was oozing with pure matcha flavor. We both enjoyed our cream puffs thoroughly— if you get a chance, be sure to check this place out. They have a myriad of different options too, so if you’re not a fan of green tea or if you don’t want just an original cream puff, there’s a flavor out there for you! Beard Papa’s is located in the new complex situated right across from the Forum, so if you haven’t checked out this complex yet, we highly recommend that you do! :)

Stay close to people who feel like sunlight! ☀️☀️☀️ Last week, I got to meet my friend Melba (@amalieyoga) for brunch at one of our favorite spots, @hen.mother_cookhouse. Connecting with people who are important in our lives lifts our spirits and strengthens our inner light when it's feeling dim. Take time to connect with someone you love (and make sure to eat some yummy food, too, while you're at it).
⠀
Melba and I did our 200hr yoga teacher training together in 2017, and we are also working on our 300hr training. I can't wait to see her again at the end of the month, as we are planning to take an advanced training on the Yoga Sutras. 🙌🏼🧘🏻‍♀️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place honestly blew me away. I’m usually really picky with mediterranean/greek/middle eastern food because it can sometimes get really dry and salty especially with felafels. But despite this, Bezoria exceeded all expectations. Their chipotle but for mediterranean food concept is brilliant and they make their pita and felafels fresh on site; they fry the felafel to add to your bowl as you order. Their sauces especially the tahini and curry are so yummy. They have so many condiment options and if you love spice i highly recommended adding the sahara sauce. We ordered the sides of hand cut fries and seasoned cauliflower which we loved. The fries have a different, garlicky salt put on them which made them truly unique. The cauliflower is tossed in a curry type seasoning before being served which pairs so nicely with the hummus. Overall, this bowl is healthy, vegan friendly, filling, and so delicious. Don’t worry though, for meat eaters they have plenty of shawarma options too!
