    Guess what.... I GRADUATED🎉🎉🎉!!! I freaking did it and that's the reason I've been so MIA on here. I landed a job as a Pre-K teacher and I start next week. I'm so excited!!! On another note....since I was celebrating I missed the gym 3 days in a row... DON'T PANIC!! My muscle is still there and I didn't gain any weight. We do not have to go crazy when we go off track. -

Honestly though, it felt amazing to start my Monday this week off right, I got back to eating right, counting macros, and back to my happy place. The gym. I am really seeing some serious gains this week and I actually hit a new PR. Sometimes all the body needs is a good refeed in order to see results. So do I feel guilty?? No. Am I going to go off track eating again?? Yes actually this holiday weekend. But I'm okay with it because I'm doing what I need to in order to be allowed to do so. Don't be hard on yourself.

So guys this is my coach @jofizique! He was able to come out to La last weekend and help me out 1-1 for my prep.

Let me just say It’s crazy how people you’ve known for a couple months can be there more for you than someone you’ve known for a couple years.

So to me he’s a little more like family to me now he’s been there through my worst days and my best.
•
He reminded me why I started and where we were going with this prep and to not let any of those situations get in my way of my goals and pushed me to step out my comfort zones!

He literally came into my life when I needed the support!

Good thing my PL Coach is here to assess my weight choice, I always go conservative😅 Last week I went with 40kgs for 8, while today I was able to do 42kgs for 10.

I don’t normally post my accessory workouts since I’m more focused on the progress of my main lifts. Fyi, I always have accessory workouts after my main lift. [all these lifting videos are for me to track my progress in strength and technique btw] so kewl to see ma progress, can’t wait to see my plates changing colours when I train with heavier weights😩

But since it’s been awhile I haven’t seen how my pull-ups look like, I decided to record them😁 (2 sets shown). I had to superset these with a couple of shoulder exercises: DB front and lateral raises (not shown) 📷: @stackedstrength

100 g steak.
150 g cabbage.
10 g coconut oil. 
Macros -
45 protein
6 carbs 
10 fat 
Meal drizzled with @waldenfarmsinternational BBQ sauce (check these sauces out so amazing whilst dieting). Washed down with a black coffee with a dash of almond milk. 👌

    Hello! So another big area of my life is fitness! I had a separate page dedicated to my journey but decided it would be easier to put it in one place. So I’ll be adding this journey as well to my page. I apologize for the rant ahead of time lol.

So let me introduce myself! I’m Barbara. 30 years young and a full time home care nurse. I began on a journey of self love and improvement 2 years ago. I dedicated myself to becoming the healthiest person both mentally and physically I can be. I began going to the gym to tone up my body because I was very unhappy and insecure. I fell in love with weight training instantly! However April 2019 I got diagnosed with POTS which is a malfunction of the autonomic nervous system. It has hindered my progress in the gym a bit since my body doesn’t control my heart rate correctly. It can cause many other symptoms if it flares up. So far I’m learning to cope with it well. .
.
Next step was to work on my way of thinking and handling situations. I began finding ways to self improve myself. Cooking and makeup was next on my list. I always wanted to broaden my cooking skills which went hand in hand with the working out 🙌🏼. P.S. I like to get creative with my recipes and I share!

Makeup was an area I was never interested in honestly. Mainly because I never felt I could accomplish it. I rocked the natural look almost daily. I decided to try and get creative with my makeup then realized it was another thing that peaked my interest. It always makes me feel like a whole different woman 👏🏼💕. .

This page is going to be dedicated to my journey to self love, improvement and happiness. I hope to be able to make this a positive place for myself and anyone else.  Welcome to my journey 💕.
