    Crazy long road but I have lost 27 pounds between these two photos. .
.
Everyone’s timeline in life is different. It took me a long time to realize I was consistently making more bad choices verses good choices regarding my fitness and nutrition.

About 6 months ago I decided to take a different approach to this and 5 months ago I had a heart to heart with myself and realized I was either going to ‘make myself’ or ‘break myself.’ I chose to make more good decisions daily and every day they have added up. .
.
I still have other goals for myself that I haven’t hit yet but I will with time. .
.
Remember it’s not just about pounds, it’s about body fat %, it’s about improved energy levels, wearing clothes you want, living a longer life etc. You decide how you measure your success and what your goals are.

    Why “Sweat and Style”? 🤔 What does it mean?

Quick Summary: I love getting ready, putting make up on, fixing my hair and finding a great outfit but come afternoon I am ready to switch into gym attire and sweat away the stress of everyday life. .
[Sweat] I sit here and scroll through all these fabulous ladies sharing their fitness journey and healthy eating and try to really figure out why I constantly think “that’s awesome, but that’s not me”. I don’t eat fruits and veggies everyday. I don’t do protein shakes. I don’t count calories. I’m also not trying to loose weight. I do fitness because I enjoy it. A lot of people do fitness because they are looking for results... Totally get it, it is nice to get results for sure! But I’m a normal lady who’s just living life. I am at a weight that I am ok with (not all the time though, you know some days are worse than others) yes i could stand to loose 5-10 pounds but a lot of times joy outweighs healthy choices. As I say all the time *** I workout so I can eat what I want*** and because of that, I just maintain my weight. If i took the route of changing what i eat and eating healthier, i would be dropping pounds for sure. But that is just my decision not to. Some days I don’t like myself for choosing that decision but then I get hungry and I’m ok with it lol

So I am just me. A lady living life, enjoying fitness and eating what I love. My fitness mindset is more of sweat that stress out than lift your max to show what you can do. I believe there is an audience out there somewhere that can totally see where I’m coming from. Do you?

    Always be looking for the bright side of things. Each situation is what we make of it. Something terrible can happen but it only last for that moment. Any thoughts or energy we give it after that moment is totally our own fault. View every situation as a blessing or a lesson and let all the bad go so you can continue to shine and grow! .

Sometimes I forget this and allow myself to get down or confused or even hurt but all those emotions are choices and I for one chose to be happy and look for the good in everything and everyone... Even if I have to look a little harder sometime 🤷🏼‍♀️👀🙃!

    May 22, 2017, these pictures are two years apart... Is when I decided to lose weight. Just like i have tried so many times before in the past to lose weight. I thought I wouldn’t be able to. 
The first week I lost 7 pounds. In the first month I lost 16 pounds in total.

I kept pushing and kept striving for the body I really desired. Consistency is the key.

    May 22, 2017, these pictures are two years apart... Is when I decided to lose weight. Just like i have tried so many times before in the past to lose weight. I thought I wouldn’t be able to.
    The first week I lost 7 pounds. In the first month I lost 16 pounds in total.
