Not to brag, but I can eat an entire tub of peanut butter faster than you can say jelly ( #ad ) No but seriously, I can, and I don’t have to feel guilty about it on #nationalpeanutbutterday (that’s today!) or any other day, because @pbfit.official has 87% less fat and a third of the calories of traditional peanut butter...I love using it in smoothies, or treating myself to one of my favorite treats: Peanut butter and sliced bananas on toasted brioche with a drizzle of honey #missmooreeats #PartyWithPBfit

Char koay teow - Literally translates as “stir-fried ricecake strip”. It is flat noodles stir fried with egg, soy sauce, bean sprouts, belachan (shrimp paste), prawns, cockles & Chinese chives in a wok at a very high heat.

Sizzling plate noodle (6RM) – tender braised pork & noodles with a submerged fried egg, crab pieces & cabbage in a dark sauce and a side of chili sauce.

Loh mee – a very thick mildly spicy sauce with chicken feet and pork pieces topped with fried onion.

Apam balik (Chinese pancake) - crispy batter with a warm creamy centre of sweetcorn and peanuts. Absolutely loved this combo! Other flavours include savoury options like sausage, ham & egg and sweet options like banana, chocolate & raisin.

Longan juice – refreshing and not too sweet. Use the two straws provided as chopsticks to grab the longan.

    Sungai Pinang Food Court Paradise
    Open 7am-1am daily (closed Mondays)

Honda Plaza in Little Tokyo is home to some of the best Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles. There’s the always solid, notoriously busy Sushi Gen for a la carte sushi. The equally delicious, not-so-easy-to-get-a-reservation Kinjiro for stellar izakaya. And then there’s LA’s gold standard for shabu shabu—Kagaya. This perfectly sliced wagyu is my favorite preparation of the highly sought after, exquisitely marbled beef. Some of the fat dissolves in the broth as you dip each piece in the pot. What remains of each slice melts in your mouth. The dinner as a whole is prepared with care and well balanced from start to finish. There are a lot of things that set Kagaya apart from other shabu shabu establishments in Los Angeles, but one thing that stands out is the zosui prepared at the end of the meal. After all of the beef and vegetables have been consumed, the broth at the end of the meal has become a complex stock that the chef uses as the base for a delicious rice soup. I eat one bowl and take the rest home for breakfast the next day. This is one restaurant I think a lot of LA foodies miss out on. Make sure you ask to sit at the counter. #scrapbooking #shabushabu #wagyu
