    The show began with Vince McMahon presenting Kane with the WWF Championship. Steve Austin interrupted the presentation and challenged Kane to a rematch for the title that night, which Kane subsequently accepted.

    Also, Michael Cole conducted an interview with Ken Shamrock about his King of the Ring victory. He was interrupted by Owen Hart and Triple H, both of whom were previous Kings of the Ring, leading to a triple threat match being made for later in the show.

    Also, Michael Cole conducted an interview with the Undertaker, during which Taker claimed he got involved in the title match last night to prevent his brother setting himself on fire. Vince McMahon came out and stirred the pot by claiming Taker cost Austin the title because he knew he could beat Kane.

    Also, LOD 2000 came to the ring and brought out their old manager Paul Ellering. Ellering however double crossed LOD and joined the Disciples of Apocalypse who attacked them.

    The show began with Vince McMahon coming out and claiming that Steve Austin had learnt his lesson and later tonight we would see the new Stone Cold.

    Also, the new D-Generation X, comprised of Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws came to the ring and cut a promo talking about their newfound strength.

    Also, Cactus Jack came to the ring and chastised the fans for cheering for Austin when he and Chainsaw Charlie were being beat down by DX the previous week. Cactus claimed it would be a long time before he was seen again and walked out.

    Later in the show, Vince McMahon introduced a suited up Steve Austin as his new corporate champion. When the two posed for a photo however, Austin ripped off his suit and hit Vince in the groin.

    Also, Kevin Kelly conducted an interview with the Undertaker who spoke about the inferno match at Unforgiven. He was interrupted by Kane & Paul Bearer who appeared on the screen at the site of Kane and Taker's parents' graves, which Kane proceeded to desecrate.
