Today is Harmony day and Autumn Equinox. Autumn equinox is all about balance this is when night and day are equal, light and dark are equal, energies are balanced. Make your day one of harmony and balance. Make time for a short gratitude meditation giving thanks for all areas of your life that are balanced and maybe find where you could bring in more harmony. You might like to find a tree and leave a blessing flower or ribbon with your prayers, tie your ribbon to a branch or leave your flower at its base for the tree spirits. Listen then for any messages you may receive. Many blessings of harmony and balance to you all and happy Equinox #treespirit #autumnequinox #harmonyday #ceramicgardengoddesses #pointleoretreat #flowerspirit #connectwithnature #ritual #ceremony #balance

Nowruz is the traditional Iranian festival of spring, which starts at the exact moment of the vernal equinox, commencing the start of the spring. It is considered as the start of the New Year among Iranians along with some other ethno-linguistic groups. The name comes from Avestan meaning “new day/daylight”.
It has been celebrated for over 3,000 years in Iran (Persia), Central Asia, the Caucasus, Western Asia, the Black Sea Basin, and the Balkans. It marks the first day of the first month (Farvardin) in the Iranian calendar.
A ceremonial table (Spread) called Sofreh-e Haft Seen (cloth/Spread of seven dishes), where name of each dish begins with the Persian letter Seen.

A few days prior to the New Year(norooz),a special cover is spread on to the Persian carpet or on a table in every Persian household. This ceremonial table is called cloth of seven dishes, (each one beginning with the Persian letter cinn). The number seven has been sacred in Iran since the ancient times, and the seven dishes stand for the seven angelic heralds of life-rebirth, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, patience, and beauty.
The symbolic dishes consist of:
1	Sabzeh or sprouts, usually wheat or lentil representing rebirth.
2	Samanu is a pudding in which common wheat sprouts are transformed and given new life as a sweet, creamy pudding and represents the ultimate sophistication of Persian cooking.
3	Seeb means apple and represents health and beauty.
4	Senjed the sweet, dry fruit of the Lotus tree, represents love. It has been said that when lotus tree is in full bloom, its fragrance and its fruit make people fall in love and become oblivious to all else.
5	Seer which is garlic in Persian, represents medicine.
6	Somaq sumac berries, represent the color of sunrise; with the appearance of the sun Good conquers Evil.
7	Serkeh or vinegar, represents age and patience.
