    “Learn to laugh.” 💖
•
These two know how to laugh. They are so much alike, it’s crazy! I often catch them laughing at everything and as much as I want to know or just slow down and laugh with them — I’m in a hurry to run to the next appointment, the next meeting or the next activity.

Do you ever feel like life is just so busy and on the go that you’re missing out on the real meaning of life?
•
I can’t wait for spring break. It forces us to slow down and just enjoy time as a family which we rarely get. #7moresleeps and it’s family time! 🏖

I posted the other day about the space I created in my home to get things done. It's beautiful and functional and I worked there all day yesterday and it felt GOOD.

This is my other workspace. My car. It also serves as a second home for our family sometimes, the dining table, the nap space, and all the other things a busy busy family and boss lady does.

Do you spend a lot of time in your car?

    ~ PIES ~
.
Tonight for dinner, we had chicken and vegetable pies, which I made a few weeks ago and stored in the freezer. .
They were perfect for a night like tonight, where I was working all day, the kids were at childcare/school, and Aaron working night shift. Aaron and I literally crossed paths for about 5 minutes, but this freezer meal meant that he could take one of the pies to have at work!
.
I have a @sunbeamaustralia pie maker, which I love, and it makes reheating pies so easy and restores the pastry to its original crispy crunchy texture - very important!
.
We had a very simple salad with the pies and I dressed it with some of the @meredithdairy marinated goats cheese I had in the fridge.
.
This recipe is pretty much my Chicken, Pumpkin and Leek Pies, just with some extra veggies. Recipe on my blog www.whatspruecooking.com.au

What’s your favorite dipping sauce? 😋 These Easy Chicken Nuggets are crazy crispy on the outside while soft and tender inside. You can even make and freeze them in batches so you can bake a few up for a last minute meal. P.S. I’m a double dipper - can you guess which 2 sauces I love? 😍 Recipe on the blog👉🏻👉🏻

Gotta meal prep at least once a week. It’s usually the same ol stuff but honestly is pretty dang tasty: turkey burgers, salmon burgers, sautéed green beans, zucchini, squash and Trader Joe’s has shredded carrots/broccoli that gives everything a bit more flavor. We sautée it all in olive oil or sometimes coconut oil. Everything is from Costco bought it bulk except the shredded carrots/broccoli. I grabbed that from Trader Joe’s while Grace was at dance real quick. I add the burgers etc to salads or eat them with the vegetables. I also add goat cheese/hummus/avocado, Himalayan salt... sometimes I use my balsamic vinegar dressing or I just add some lime/mustard and olive oil. It’s actually all really tasty and I never feel hungry along with my other snacks: veggie shakes and shakeology! We’re ready to go for another 5-6 days. Kate always cooks up ground turkey and freezes it so it’s there when we want to sprinkle ground turkey in our salads or have it for an entree with our veggies. There’s always more enough to eat, we buy bulk so it’s cheaper and we rarely stray from eating healthy.. well there’s always Friday CHEAT NIGHT! Grace never lets us forget about FRIDAY CHEAT NIGHT!

Made some DELICIOUS chicken marsala last night. Best part? I don't have to cook tonight 😁
Honestly, I don't have time to cook a fresh dinner every single night. I plan ahead so there are 2 nights worth out of each dinner, which works perfectly when Matt heads off to jujitsu and I have master coach training to dive into!

Do you love mushrooms or give them a big thumbs down??

Honestly, I am more of a throw it all in and wing it kinda cook! BUT!!! I received this new recipe book that follows portion control and clean, simple ingredients....so I HAVE to at least try some of them!

We have company coming next week and this will be on the menu for sure!

How do YOU entertain your kids while you’re food shopping? Here are a few tips that always work for me🥦🥑🌶🥕
.
1. Let them eat foods as you go so they’ll be jazzed to try them. I’m always shocked at what they will eat while buzzing through the market.😋
2. Bring paper and pencil and let them write their own dream shopping list.📝You may be surprised at what they pick.
3. Give your child your grocery list to check things off as you go. ✅
4. Give them a task like picking out any 5 healthy foods for their lunch box and tell them to think really hard. This has worked endless amounts of time for me.
Toss out your ideas below! ⬇️
