This for me was one for the books!!Tracking down a Mule Deer and harvesting it with a bow was something I’ve always wanted to do. When I first started on his track I knew the odds were low but the wind was good and I really had no other play for the day. After tracking for about an hour the buck was headed to an area I was very familiar with and at that point I realized things were looking up. As the track entered a patch of trees I knew there was a clearing in the middle that the buck could be feeding in. I left the bucks track and skirted the edge of the trees so if he was in the clearing he would hopefully be broadside. As I came to an opening where I could see the clearing there was no buck to be found. I quickly scanned the area and spotted him standing on the far edge. I ranged him, drew back, dropped to my knees to clear the branches, settled my pin and let it fly. The shot was perfect and the buck went less than 100yards. #thebowshoput #archery #muledeer #velvet #itswhatwedo #yourarcheryshop #yourbowshop #hoyt #RX1 #easton #blackgold #ripcord #tightspot #g5deadmeat #bstinger
