Developing young athlete in season is extremely important for overall health and athletic development. This will depend on many factors such as biological age, schedule ability etc which we @opexprincegeorge special in assessing athletes current ability.

A season can take 8 months. Making sure your team is developing strong movement mechanics while increasing overall strength is not only beneficial but necessary for for their growth as a human being. 
The @pgsprucekings will train differently throughout the different stages of a season and for now just making sure they are feeling good from long bus rides and tough games while maintain  aerobic capacity during a between season lay off is our goal for now. 
@opexprincegeorge we manage each athletes ability and personalize our approach while managing in season phases to maximize development of each player and team.

Our goal for our young athletes is to develop the most effective movers while increasing their overall strength. 
The youth of today do not spend enough time moving. And being taught to move correctly and safely is imperative for optimal growth and development. 
This is what we specialize in. Assessment, coaching, and program design. We do not do this part time. We are full time professional coaches. 
Do you want your young athlete not only train to excel in sport but in life? There are so many complications from mobility and flexibility issues combined with strength imbalances with the lifestyle young people are faced with today. From postural complications due to sitting long periods of time as well as neck position due to phone use. Non of these are exclusively the issue. The issue is all these factors are combined with inactivity which has lead to weaknesses as well as poor mechanics.

We will develop the youth of today with the strength they need and the movement capabilities to be able to handle the demands of sport specifics and life. 
Going and playing sport is not enough if your child hasn’t developed the strength and mechanics to move their body and handle the demands of their sport. 
That’s where we come in.

So incredibly proud of this guy right here! His first official CrossFit Open where he has been able to perform the Teens 14-15 RX’d division.

He is a true representation of what happens when you focus on the quality of your movement patterns. Prior to this workout I had him Snatching 50lbs. 19.4 asked that he Snatch 65lb.

This was challenge for me as a coach and for him as an athlete. I told him that we would build up his Snatch and make sure that the RX’d prescription was the right option. I asked that no matter my decision, that he trust me. As we reached the working weight, he had demonstrated such incredible focus and precise execution that it was a no brainer. He had earned the right to go RX’d!

From our adult programs to our youth programs each person has a program developed specific to their age, training age and function. We st OPRZc PG are the only facility in Prince George that offers this level of effective program design in and out of the gym. 
Your families health matters. Don’t settle for anything less than a personalized approach to your families health.

    “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn” Benjamin Franklin. Recently we did a test to see how people learn best. The most popular ways are Visual, Aural, Verbal and Physical. I’m physical so that’s probably why I love workshops so much. Getting into the nitty gritty of it and feeling the moves/positions.     Today’s kids classes!  As always, I’m amazed by the kids concentration, super effort, confidence, willingness to try something new. We had our younger kids going upside down, and some of our older kids giving kipping a go. Great sessions!

We have seen the turnover from Jeff and Mikki doing seminars and now the boys growing into their righteous positions.
