    Happy Friday everyone, I hope everyone’s week was great and that your weekend will be even greater! Zavifit here with another post and today we’ll be talking about how to make bland food less bland, taste better and how it can add more nutritional value.

As I’ve said in the past, I’m cutting weight rather than bulking, but I’m going to slowly translate into bulking as the school years starts again. I mostly eat the same foods everyday, maintaining about 2100-2300 calories a day. The order of which meal I eat first or last may not be the same, but the content inside the meal mostly is. I’ll walk you through a typical day of what I eat:
Breakfast- Seasoned Eggs with Tomatoes
Snack- Whole Foods Grinded Peanut Butter with 1-2 Bananas mixed with Icelandic Vanilla Yogurt
Lunch- Oatmeal with Blueberry Granola mixed in with Strawberries and Blueberries
Snack (if needed)- Protein Shake or Watermelon 
Dinner- Seasoned Salmon or Chicken with Steamed Vegetables (unfortunately no photo, I ate it all haha)

When you eat the same thing over and over everyday, you may or may not get sick of it and I think it depends on what you add to it. If you eat bland eggs or oatmeal all the time with no additions, the taste obviously isn’t going to be as good as it could be and you’ll most likely get sick of your meals quite quickly. Most of these items are basic foods, I just added a little zest to them. Mixing Granola with Oatmeal is an incredibly easy addition and it ups the taste by 100% and combined can add more calcium, protein, and vitamins. Adding Peanut Butter with Banana and Yogurt makes your taste sky rocket rather than just having a regular old boring Banana and the Yogurt that I buy has 21g of protein per serving, so that’s an added bonus! Also, seasoning is crucial to pan cooked meals. If you aren’t adding seasoning then let me tell you, your dinner will be bland and sucky. I’ve experienced it first hand and it is not fun and a waste of a meal, put in some oregano, garlic or general mixed seasoning, even salt can do the job. Add some fun to your food! Add a new ingredient if you aren’t happy with the taste!
