    As of today, I have completed the @ashley.horner @transformyouchallenge. I don’t think I can fully articulate how glad I am that I participated. I feel like it’s a crazy thing to do a fitness challenge through the holidays but, for me, it’s never been about food or the way I look. Life’s stresses will get’chya and they got me. Focusing on my health and wellness through the past 10 weeks has honestly been the best medicine. I’m kicking myself for the times in the past that I let myself leave my mind in the gutter. I would have been a happier person if I had invested in myself sooner. In so many ways I can’t even explain, I feel better. Just SO much better. The focus, the discipline, the perseverance, the commitment. Its tough but it’s rejuvenating. There’s something to be said about the amount of mental fortitude required to accomplish something by yourself for yourself. It’s kind of a fight-or-flight decision you make with the dawn of every new day. “Am I gonna lace up these tennies today and get to work, or nah?” Say yes. It brings the bear out of you if you’re determined enough. And GAH it feels damn good to feel capable! I dieted both strictly and loosely. I’ll be the first to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday foods (I mean festivities). I had busy days and missed out on my workouts but on other days I showed up and left the gym totally spent. I have felt the pride of adding more weight to my sets have and also felt totally stupid struggling to finish burpees. I see muscles coming through that I haven’t seen since before I had my children. I am stronger in mind, body, and soul. I have more endurance & knocked 5 minutes off of my 2-mile time. I feel more athletic than I have in years and I have this insatiable appetite to accomplish more.

    I figured this would be a great time to do it! I’ve been off completely, less workouts, in a funk and my body has felt the weight gain. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

    I didn’t finish strong and I just became weak mentally. I finished #becomingextraordinary and I put on 4% of muscle since my last visit Last year. I wanted to know my body fat to get me started again and move forward. It was 32.8% 😮⁣⁣⁣⁣

    It’s ok tho, because I’m going to keep going even if I have fallen back a few steps. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
