작품끼리 합성해보았는데 이렇게 자연스러울수가.. 😱 내작품은 역시 내작품인가보다 ❗️❗️❗️나만의 색감을 찾아서 작품을 그린다는것은 행복한일 💓

In case you couldn’t tell by now, this album is one of my desert island discs. From the thick sleeve stock and heavy pressing to the thick accents and Heavy Rock n’ Roll, Blues Creation were initially a Canned Heat-style Blues band, until de facto bandleader Kazuo Takeda assembled an all-new group from the first album, and led them into a post-Sabbath apocalyptic nightmare of a record. It fucking rules, two horns high in the air.
Opening with an explosion, the postwar Atomic paranoia of the Japanese is apparent from the get-go, and further continues with the title of “Atomic Bombs Away.” The lyrics don’t exactly follow that pattern, with songs about alienation and ruined relationships. “I can’t stand it by your side/set me free from my destiny” could be construed as a collective plea from the defeated island nation, or just as easily be a statement of starting over (for the band as well as the entire country). Heavy themes of superstition ingrained for centuries into the Japanese culture abound in the title track and cover art. “Black lightning calling me, eleven children killing each other/I’m just rumbling in the demon’s garden, and I heard just like the witch’s laughing.” Not sure what any of that means, but it could be a reference to any number of Yōkai/Obake/Oni.
And the music. Holy hot damn. Aside from the few traditional blues references (“Mississippi Mountain Blues” is a straight Bluesbreakers/Canned Heat rip), this stands next to High Tide and Sabbath as the darkest, riffin’-est, loudest, scariest Heavy music of the day. Takeda’s guitar shredding is pre-Van Halen pyrotechnics, and it’s FAST. Sometimes when you’re listening you have to remind yourself this is 1971. The transitions from the thundering gallop to the headbanging slow riffage on tracks like “Just As I Was Born” are phenomenal and hit the spot exactly where you want it. This may be the closest thing to as perfect an early 70’s Heavy Rock n’ Roll record I will ever hear (I do miss a B3 but that’s okay). The production is forward-thinking, the cover art is beautifully imperfect. And there it is, my Holy Grail of Heaviness. 1975 Blow Up pressing.
