Potentially the first photo I’ve ever posted without ‘natural lighting’ but I was feeling this outfit and I’m FEELING Mykonos. It’s freaking incredible here. The people are beyond friendly and it’s such a wonderful atmosphere. Plus the FETA CHEESE. And yes I went out after traveling and not sleeping for 17 hours straight 💃🏼 Outfit details tagged!

Standing desks are becoming more popular and are an excellent strategy to help minimise the amount of time you spend sitting at a desk. The aim is to regularly change positions, so this does not mean standing for hours on end. We want to avoid both prolonged sitting and standing. A good dosage to follow is to stand for 20 mins and then sit for 40 mins, alternating in this pattern through the working day.
Standing desk set-up:
🔹Top of the monitor should be at eye level 🔹Wrists in a neutral position, elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees 🔹Head, neck, torso and legs are in line 🔹Wear comfortable shoes

    Max Liao RMT

Max graduated from the 3200 hour Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College in Vancouver, where he gained his skills by treating a variety of populations from outreaches such as the West Vancouver Senior Activity Center, Harbour Dance Studio, The Hive Bouldering Gym, Vancouver General’s Spinal Cord Injury Center (ICORD), and St. John’s Hospice.

Throughout his education, Max has developed strong believes in the importance of patient-focused care. He also appreciates how massage therapy positively help each group of population from children to seniors, from sedentary lifestyles to weekend warriors, and from office workers to labour workers.

Now Max focuses each treatment session addressing the root causes while paying attention to the patient symptoms. His treatments often incorporate techniques such as Swedish massage, myofascial and trigger point release, joint mobilization, active and passive stretches. At the end of the visit, Max often provides specific home care instructions, which he believes is just as important as his treatment.

Outside work, Max enjoys playing basketball, cooking, drawing and painting.

My number 1 goal as a personal trainer/mentor is not to help you lose weight, tone up or build muscle 🤷🏼‍♀️
•
Those are side effects!
•
My number one goal is to help you design personal lifestyle habits that in turn produce the results or side effects you are looking to achieve.
•
The process is #1
•
When implementing lifestyle changes ask yourself these things...
•
1. Is this sustainable? If you can’t see yourself doing it long term it’s not worth implementing just to get quick but fleeting results.
•
2. Does this honor my body? You’re your bodies keeper and it deserves your protection. Don’t sacrifice its health to get “results”.
•
3. Why is this important to me? Check your goals and make sure they are inner motivated and not just something you pulled out of your butt or because “so and so” has the same goal.

Stuffed dates so good I was able to push through my deep aversion to having sticky fingers 🍯 Still gonna use a fork next time tho. These are a great go-to for a quick snack / sweet treat: just stuff ‘em with some nut butter (I used crunchy cashew butter) then top with chocolate chips, coconut, hemp seeds & a drizzle of honey. #HungryBlonde #StuffedBlonde

I don’t know where I’d be in life without frozen veggies ✨🙌🏼 I’m all for relying on fresh, in season produce, but it’s well-established that frozen provides just as many nutrients (maybe even more!), is more cost effective, and is easier to keep on hand (especially if you’re cooking for one!) than fresh. I pretty much always have frozen broccoli, berries and edamame on hand when I need to throw a meal together in a pinch. I’ve even seen cooked-then-frozen beans, which would make this meal even easier 🙌🏼 Do you rely on frozen produce? If so, what’s your favourite?! 💛.
.
To make 👇🏼:
Cook brown rice and lentils as per package instructions (I use half veggie stock as a replacement for water to make them even tastier). Meanwhile, microwave or cook frozen broccoli and any other veggies of choice- I opted for kale and mushrooms. Once all components are done, combine and drizzle with tahini + lemon ✨

homemade sandwiches are just the best! i love going out but homemade food gives me so much more energy and it’s always so satisfying! what’s your favorite sandwich combo?
try this:
spread whole wheat toasted bread with some cream cheese, add micro greens, arugula, smoked turkey breast, avocado and a fried egg. sprinkle with some black pepper for extra flavor and you’re good to go!
hope you have the best Tuesday ❤️ #healthymoodsf

Hi!!! Happy Tuesday! Time for some Sweet Potato Jalapeño Mac n Cheese 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 this recipe is creamy, delicious and has a little kick to it! Love this recipe for dinner and to show off to family and friends 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ here’s the recipe —-> •
•
Ingredients:
1 medium sized sweet potato
2 jalapeños
1 clove garlic
3 tbs oil of choice (1 for sautéing jalapeños, 2 for sauce) (I used sunflower)
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 cup unsweetened milk (for nut free use nut free milk)
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tbs hemp seeds
A few pieces of cilantro ———
Directions:
1. Peel and chop the sweet potato into pieces and boil for 20 minutes or until really soft.
2. Sauté 2 diced jalapeños in 1 tbs oil. When they begin to soften, add the garlic clove minced (adds more flavor).
3. Boil sweet potatoes and mash. It should come out to about 1 cup which is perfect for the recipe. If its more, just store the sweet potato for later.
4. Combine the sweet potato, jalapeños and garlic, and the rest of ingredients and blend. Pour over your favorite pasta! •
