For the last 2 weeks we have started our next phase of training with the wrestlers. In this phase body weight training is more of the focus. As you can see we ended a upper body workout with ‘Wheel barrel’ walks for a burn out. We also are increasing our circuit based training. We will be doing this program leading up to the season. Each phase last up to 4 months. I thought getting a trainer and joing a gym would be so difficult! I remember constantly telling this man this mommy pouch would never leave, was ugly and I was so self conscious about it! His reply was “Girl you gave birth, be proud of that!” ✊🏾 It was definitely something I had to get over and appreciate! It just 2 guys on the Grind Time Fitness lawn playing catch 😜. Yesterday I was working with my freshman pitcher on balancing and using the rotational core muscles to throw that ball. Current situation, sittin at 233lbs After Masters Nationals my coach @terry_plackerand assistant coach @building.bodies told me to work on bringing out my chest this off season. My chest is there but my damm shoulders over power it. Can’t make those shoulders shrink so the only other thing to do is build out my chest more. Youth training focuses on 1)Technique 2)Breathing 3)Gaining strength in the right way. I saw a bike race yesterday on ESPN. The guy in 1st place thought the race was over. So he stopped and celebrated not knowing there was 1 more lap. He finished 78th. Stop celebrating and get back to work. If you’re not where you want to be then you have no reason to rest.
