📍Bombay Barbeque, Thane . . We had the non-veg items mainly and a little bit of veg starters. The mocktails and the desserts were the things that impressed us. The ambience is just fine. If you want to have a quiet dinner date, this is the place. The service was very catering which was another nice thing. Anybody who is fond of buffets and has a huge appetite will like this place. . As for the starters, the kebabs were a little spicy. The prawns on the grill seemed undercooked. The chicken peg pieces were a tad overcooked. The chaat served was nice. . For mocktails - All of them were very refreshing. We liked the mango rapture and chocolate monk the most! . The main course had a wide range of dishes you could try from. We tried the non veg dishes and they were good. Except the butter chicken was a little too sweet for our taste. They also have a live pasta, pav bhaji, and chaat counter which is nice! We suggest you leave a little space for the desserts since they& #039;re the best things here! . Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 . Until next time! #2HKOB 👋💕

Tea Villa Cafe in Kharghar has recently opened and first of all we& #039;d like to say the interiors and the ambience of the cafe are absolutely amazing! The service is also great and responsive. We tried a lot of things other than tea from the menu and some dishes lacked a tad bit of taste. That being said, we& #039;d just list down the names of dishes you can blindly order because they& #039;re that good. ✨✨ Chamomile flowers whole tea - the flower opens up inside the glass and the process is beautiful to watch. Also, the tea is quite soothing to have. ✨ Nachos - absolutely loved the dips and the nachos were really crunchy ✨ Spinach corn tart - this is a subjective choice but we loved it ✨ Mini burgers - They& #039;re so yummy, you might end up ordering more ✨ Quinoa salad - loved the additional peas it had and the overall taste, if you& #039;re a salad person we& #039;d say just go for it! ✨ Green Thai curry with Thai rice - it was very appetizing, especially the gravy ✨ Irish cream - perfectly bitter with the right amount of cream <3 ✨✨ Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 5/5 🙌 Until next time! #2HKOB

Churolls and Co. is a small place in Ghatkopar that serves churros, rolls, and their own range of iced sodas. The place is really adorable although small, and can accommodate about 7-8 people. ✨ We tried the churro box that has 6 small churros in different flavours. Great for those who can& #039;t settle for one. In the rolls we tried the crispy sriracha which was served with fries. It was delicious and quite unexpected as the place specializes in churros. The rolls will definitely make you come back here! Their range of iced sodas come in very unique flavours and you can give any of them a try and not be disappointed. This is your time to get experimental! We tried the saffron chilli and the elderflower flavour. We topped all of this off with a chocolate brownie churro tart that had brownie flavored ice cream covered in a cup made of churros. It& #039;s an effort to eat this one! ✨ Overall, this place is a really amazing and affordable joint for churros and definitely a must visit when in Ghatkopar! ✨ Service: 4.5/5 Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 ✨ Until next time! #2HKOB 👋

Health Juice and Fast Food, Nerul🍴 Health Juice in Nerul is a newly opened outlet of the Health Juice chains. This one has a very neat and organized ambience and prompt service. The orders were very quickly served and the quality of food was incredible. We liked how this place was really clean and well maintained. ✨ We tried a bunch of juices and shakes, some chaat, sandwiches, pizza, etc. The menu is quite pocket friendly and has so many juice combinations that you& #039;ll be spoilt for choice. Their speciality being juices and shakes, they serve all of them made from fresh fruits and are made right when you order. Also all of the juices we had had an authentic taste of its own and weren& #039;t unnecessarily sweet or loaded with sugar. ✨ The chaat was really good and the sev puri and bhel are a must try from that category. Out of the cheese pav bhaji, khada pav bhaaji, and the masala cheese pav, we recommend the cheese pav bhaji, it was great in taste. We also liked the corn palak cheese sandwich. At this point I think we& #039;ve grown to like those. But that one is quite subjective although you may go ahead and try it since it& #039;s cheesy! ✨ We would also recommend the sitaphal cream, cashew kitkat shake, three G, and king blossom. It would& #039;ve really helped if the menu had the ingredients of the juice written along with the names. But you could always ask the staff what a certain juice or milkshake will include, they& #039;re really friendly that way. ✨ Overall, this is a nice place to chill in Nerul alongside Palm Beach Road and a good shift for some snacks than a regular fast food joint. ✨ Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Ambience: 5/5

One of the renowned and oldest cafés in the city of Mumbai, we had to have it leave a mark on our blog. We went there on a Sunday at around 4 PM but it was still full. And since & #039;tables are shared& #039; here, we followed the protocol too. 😀 .. We ordered the classic medu wada sambar, neer dosa, Kaapi® (filter coffee), and you know it - chai! The medu wada had an unmatched taste, the sambar and chutney were more than just delicious, the combo simply stole our hearts. The neer dosa though was a little thicker which made it seem more like a soft dosa. It was tasty nevertheless, and came with coconut chutney and a dollop of coconut and jaggery mix. The filter coffee termed & #039;Kaapi®& #039; here is something you shouldn& #039;t just miss when you visit this place. It has a great balance in taste, just the way it& #039;s supposed to be. After all, south Indians can& #039;t go wrong with their filter coffee, eh? The chai had a strong taste and was great too! We wanted to have the puliogare rice but it wasn& #039;t available. Next time perhaps? 😉 .. We honestly loved the pure and homely vibe at this café apart from the food. If you want to enjoy authentic south Indian food, this place is where you must head to! 💕 .. Pizzitalia is a small place that has opened up in Mulund, but it& #039;s big enough to accommodate your hunger for good food. ✨ We tried the Veg Bruschetta, Mexican Nachos, and Jalapeno Nuggets for starters. The veg bruschetta was topped with the freshest toppings and was served on a long platter. The jalapeno nuggets were filled with cheese and we totally loved this one. Who can resist cheesy nuggets, amirite? The Mexican nachos were really appetizing moreover since the nachos were made in their own kitchen. ✨ The authenticity of this place& #039;s pizza lies in the fact that they bake them in a wood-fired oven. We tried the Fantastic Woodfire pizza, Smokey BBQ Pizza, and the Pepper blast paneer Pizza. The fantastic woodfire pizza was very cheesy and was filled with veg toppings enough to balance the cheese. If you& #039;re a cheese lover, order this one! The smokey barbeque had a unique mix of the bbq sauces and the pizza sauce along with cheese and the toppings, which honestly was pretty great as the taste was in perfect coordination. The pepper blast paneer pizza could come off as a little bland for some because of the excessive cheese and the topping of paneer, as the bell pepper toppings aren& #039;t very spicy. But sprinkle some chili flakes and you& #039;re one step closer to enjoying this delish dish. ✨ We also tried their Spinach Corn Sandwich with Cheese which was served with a side of fries. The taste of spinach mixed with the corn and the cheese cream though may not be so inviting for some since the spinach wasn& #039;t blended with the cheese but if you don& #039;t mind that, this one too is a great dish to order. We topped it all off with some chocolate ice cream. ✨ Overall, this place has really delectable food, the service is amazing and prompt, and the ambiance is relaxed and welcoming! If you& #039;re in or around Mulund, you should give Pizzitalia a shot! ✨ Until next time! #2HKOB 👋

Hidden inside the lanes of Bhindi Bazaar in Mohammad Ali Road, Take Icecream is one legendary icecream outlet that is being run by a family since six generations. Known for their famous saancha ice cream, we decided to go here lured by the praises and the simple menu.✨ So a lesser known fact, Kunal is a diabetic ass so he can& #039;t indulge in eating a lot of sweet things. Which meant I had to undertake the escapade of trying out the icecreams here. We first went for the sitaphal icecream because we CAN NOT RESIST this flavour. It was so good, you guys. The moment I took the first bite, I was in awe. It was so creamy and full of taste, and unlike most icecreams that taste a little milky, this wasn& #039;t.✨ The next flavour we called for was guava. This one too was a perfect blend of flavour with the cream, it was as good as eating the fruit cold. So flavourful, I was tempted to try the other fruit flavours but I swear my tongue was numb by the end of the second round. Although, are obviously going here again to try the other flavours out, and I& #039;m eyeing the mix fruit, chickoo, and sweet melon next! (Already awaiting the next weekend)✨ If you love icecream like we do (Kunal does but he only limits himself to a spoon or two), you MUST go to this supercalifragilisticexpialidocious place!✨ Until next time! #2HKOB 👋 @tajicecream

This place is on the opposite side of the Minara Masjid lane in Mohammed Ali Road. You won& #039;t spot it so easily because it& #039;s not that extravagant, but step in for once and this place will leave you dumbfound. ✨ We honestly never expected this restaurant to be so beautiful on the inside. It has old painted tiles and mirrors on every wall with even separate cabins for families to have a private meal. It just looks like the owners knew their game when they made this restaurant come alive. ✨ Coming to the food and service, the waiters can be spotted wearing a red polo neck tshirt and are very diligent when serving you. ✨ We ordered chicken fried rice, egg pulav, bhurji pav, and the matka rabdi. The food was just as excellent as the restaurant is. The quantity is amazing for the price, we were so full by the end of our lunch! The matka rabdi was so fresh and wasn& #039;t very sweet, which translates to amazing because we don& #039;t love anything with a lot of artificial sweetening. So don& #039;t leave without this dessert. Also, to specifically mention, the rotis here were truly one of the softest ones we& #039;ve ever had. ✨ So who& #039;s in for good food at Mohammad Ali Road this Ramzan? Give this restaurant a try! ✨ Until next time! #2HKOB 👋

Aram is a parcel counter cum kiosk outside the actual Aram hotel opposite CST station. This place is often crowded with people chatting as they line up for orders, stopping by for a quick bite. They serve authentic Maharashtrian snacks you can enjoy with a view of the wide roads of town and the beautiful Victorian structures. The items listed below make for our usual order here. Kothimbir Vadi or coriander fritters is the Maharashtrian dish you don& #039;t really get everywhere so easily. Have this yummy snack with chai and you& #039;re transported to paradise. If you& #039;re yet to try this dish out, you know where to go! The butter grilled vada pav here is quite bigger than a regular vada pav but equally delicious. They offer a lot of varieties of vada pav you can choose from, and the vada is absolutely scrumptious, easily one of the best we& #039;ve had. They also serve kairi panna, kokum sherbet, and nimbu pani here, perfect to quench your thirst in this humid Mumbai weather. Overall, we love stopping by here every time we go to town. Except, keep in mind that the hotel as well as this counter are both closed on Sundays. Until next time! #2HKOB

Hidden within the busy lanes of Sion is Gurukripa. A lot of you might have already been there, but those who haven& #039;t, read on. . We went here on a weekend in the afternoon and the place was really crowded. We were lucky enough to find a table inside to sit. This place really lacks ambience, we must say. But we chose to ignore it and concentrate on the food. . Ordered the aloo cheese paratha, their famous samosa chaat, and rasgullas. . The paratha looked yum but it was only filled with aloo without any trace of cheese inside. The cheese was just grated and sprinkled on top. It really took all the enthusiasm out of eating an aloo cheese paratha. Although the paneer sabzi they served along with it made up for it. :) If you happen to go here, just order the aloo paratha because the cheese is as good as nothing. . The samosa chaat was quite appetizing. They serve it along with chhole, green chutney, and onions to top off with. The samosa was crispy, just the way we like it. . Rasgullas were just fine. The sugar syrup was too sweet for our taste, but overall satisfactory. . This place didn& #039;t really win our hearts but it was good for an experience. If we visit this place again, it& #039;ll only be for the samosa chaat. . Until next time! #2HKOB 👋

Café Nizari is easy to spot in the lanes of Mohammad Ali Road. We often used to see this restaurant but never really intended to go here. But now since it& #039;s important to check out new places, we delved in. . We ordered the Chicken Tikka Biryani, Dal Tadka Fry, rice, and chai. . We specially ordered only leg piece in the Biryani. It was scrumptious. Perfect amount of spices and the Mughlai taste was evident in every bite. . The dal tadka fry here was one of best we& #039;ve had at any place in Mohammad Ali Road. It had a thick texture and a perfect taste of the tadka without being spicy or bland. If you happen to go here, do not miss the dal! . Overall, it was an amazing experience for an impromptu plan. J. Hearsch & Co. is like a secret heaven located in Hill Road, Bandra. You have to get in from the gate next to Holy Family Hospital (it& #039;s closed but you gotta enter from the small walkable entrance next to it), and there it is! . This place is every economical, and now since a lot of people know about it, it& #039;s usually a little crowded too. There are queues inside for orders, so make sure you order what you want - all at once. . Today we bought chicken lollipops, chicken cutlet, veg spring roll, the usual fresh lime, and the red velvet truffle. The chicken/mutton rolls, burgers, and fried rice are other amazing things from the menu you can try here. . The chicken lollipop is coated with a thick outer batter making it seem like that& #039;s the only thing there is - something I don& #039;t personally like. If you& #039;re more into meat (no pun intended), feel free to skip this one. The chicken cutlet was a mix of mashed potatoes and shredded chicken. It was tasty and also quite filling. The veg spring roll is Kunal& #039;s favourite. It& #039;s the usual mix of veggies, but comes out amazingly. Also something great to savour on a budget. The fresh lime here is something you shouldn& #039;t miss. We never even leave without a second round! The red velvet truffle was amazing with delicious layers of cream and red velvet cake. Although we think the cool temperature really adds to the taste. If you love anything red velvet, give this a try! . Overall, J. Hearsch& #039;s is a great place for quick bites when you go out street shopping in Bandra or you find yourself hungry and on a budget in the area. PS. You& #039;ll also find a lot of cats around the place! Win-win! . Until next time! #2HKOB

The veg spring roll is Kunal's favourite. It's the usual mix of veggies, but comes out amazingly. Also something great to savour on a budget.
The fresh lime here is something you shouldn't miss. We never even leave without a second round!
The red velvet truffle was amazing with delicious layers of cream and red velvet cake. Although we think the cool temperature really adds to the taste. If you love anything red velvet, give this a try!
.
Overall, J. Hearsch's is a great place for quick bites when you go out street shopping in Bandra or you find yourself hungry and on a budget in the area.
PS. You'll also find a lot of cats around the place! Win-win!
.
Until next time! #2HKOB

Hindustan Restaurant . Situated inside the lane next to Gulshan-E-Iran on Mohammad Ali Road, Hindustan is another good place in Bombay for Mughlai food. Kunal stumbled upon this place when he went to Bombay cycling, and then decided to do the deed of taking me here. . We have tried a variety of dishes here in the past, and none of them disappointed us. So if you tend to go here, feel free to order anything you haven& #039;t ordered before. Anyway, moving on. . We ordered the egg pulav here for the first time and then we ordered it once more. 👻 The rice had less artificial colors and more real taste, and perfectly balanced flavors with the right amount of spices. . The leg piece tandoori is something we always order when we go here, so this time was not any different. They serve it with lots of marinated onion which complements the taste of this delicious tandoori dish. . P.S. Sorry for the bad front picture. We took it after sunset and the light really swallowed a few words from the name. . Until next time! #2HKOB 👋

Back in the first year of college, our classmate cum friend cum CR cum GS, Ammar Rizvi took us to a restaurant in the streets of Dongri. We generally knew about the restaurants that were lined on Mohammad Ali Road but really, who cares to get inside those little and crowded streets there and explore, right? 🌞 . New Patel is the generic, simple, affordable hotel you could probably just find anywhere in Mumbai. But it still stands out from the rest of the restaurants for us. We& #039;ve tried almost every dish here. After all, we& #039;ve been going here at least twice every month since 2-3 years now.🔄 . The food here will have you exclaiming wow right from the first bite. Every dish tastes as distinct as the other, that is literally all we have to say. Personal favourites include butter chicken, chicken afghani, egg masala fry, dal tadka, chicken fried rice, and tandoori. 🍖 . They also serve snacks like samosa, sweet samosa, bun maska, chai, etc. These items aren& #039;t on the menu though, you need to ask for them. 👽 . P.S. The place is really secluded and quite old. Don& #039;t be taken aback by the old furniture or the typical Dongri ambiance, focus on the yummy food instead! 😄 . Until next time! #2HKOB 👋

Olympia Coffee House🙆 . This old restaurant is situated in Colaba, right in front of Leopold Café. Olympia& #039;s menu has a good list of Mughlai dishes you must try if you& #039;re a chicken lover. 🍗 . 1. We ordered their chicken biryani which had a perfect balance of spices and the gravy. This one completely fills you up with satisfaction and taste.🍛 . 2. The aloo paratha here will never make you feel like you& #039;re in an Iranian restaurant. It& #039;s filled with yummy aloo stuffing and lathered in a healthy amount of butter. Perfect for evening hunger pangs.👻 . 3. How do we end our visit without chai? The & #039;paani kam chai& #039; here is the best after a meal. It& #039;s stronger than the regular tea and you might even call for a second cup, who knows?☕ . You can also try their famous kheema pao, chicken main courses, egg masala fry, and chicken tikka biryani if you plan to go here. . Until next time!✋ #2hkob

K. Rustom Ice Cream We found this place while randomly roaming around Bombay. It looked quite old and nowhere close to fancy which is what intrigued us to visit. 👀 . This is the second time we went here, the flavour of ice cream we had (the one that you see) was Mango Delight. Definitely had to have something seasonal this time. The first time we went here, we had the Rum Raisin flavour of ice cream.🍦 . We& #039;re obviously going back; this place doesn& #039;t disappoint. Available for less than a hundred rupees, there are so many flavours to choose from that you& #039;re going to get confused. . If you& #039;re an ice cream lover - we bet you are - the next time you visit Bombay, go here, and walk towards Marine Drive - it& #039;s just a few steps away - and enjoy the vibe. . Until next time. ✋💝

Kyani and Co. 💯 Our go-to place almost every weekend, it had to be the first one on our list to cover. From the first time we stepped in this café, we knew we& #039;d come back. Let& #039;s get to our favourites without further ado! 1. Chicken cheese grill sandwich🍞 This cheesy chicken sandwich is probably the most affordable one in Mumbai. If you& #039;re looking for a quick bite, are a chicken and cheese lover, and need something that doesn& #039;t send you to a food coma, it is this sandwich that you must definitely try. 2. Bhurji Pav🍳 This classic dish is quite famous at Kyani. It makes for a yummy lunch if you& #039;re not in the mood to gorge on a lot of food but are still hungry. They include a fair amount of onions probably fried in butter because that& #039;s where the taste comes from! 3. Cheese Spinach Pattice🍥 This one& #039;s for the vegetarians who love cheese. It& #039;s got some really yummy spinach stuffing fused with cheese that will make you order one more. 4. Bun Maska and Chai☕ How can one go to Kyani and not order bun maska! This is the thing we ordered when we first went to Kyani! Go for the special chai if you& #039;re a chai lover (who isn& #039;t?) and enjoy it with the buns filled with a layer of butter. We bet you can’t just have it once. 5. Pineapple squash🍹 If soda& #039;s not your thing, or if you want to switch your drink a bit, order this squash! It& #039;s got the perfect pineapple punch and wouldn& #039;t even make you bloat - win win! If you haven& #039;t been to Kyani and Co. yet, we suggest you do. We& #039;ll be eager to know how your experience was!😀

#2HKOB 👋💕

#2HKOB

#2HKOB 👋

The matka rabdi was so fresh and wasn't very sweet, which translates to amazing because we don't love anything with a lot of artificial sweetening. So don't leave without this dessert. Also, to specifically mention, the rotis here were truly one of the softest ones we've ever had. ✨
So who's in for good food at Mohammad Ali Road this Ramzan? Give this restaurant a try!

💕 .. Food: 9/10 Ambience: 9/10 Service: 9/10 ..

We& #039;re surely going here again, and you should too someday! . Until next time! #2HKOB
